🏉🔥 What a Day at Wincanton Rugby Club! 🔥🏉

Our End of Season BBQ & Awards Day was a smashing success, bringing together players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, families, and supporters to celebrate another fantastic season.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special. From great food and brilliant company to recognising the achievements of our players, it was the perfect way to round off the season.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, whose hard work, commitment, and performances throughout the year have been outstanding. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Wincanton Rugby Club throughout the season. We look forward to building on this year’s successes and seeing you all again next season.

North Dorset Rugby Club have been making the most of our pitch over the past few weeks as they prepare for the 7’s season 🏉
Great to see the facilities being used by another local club and even better to support grassroots rugby in the area. Wishing everyone at North Dorset the best of luck for the upcoming tournaments — we’ll be cheering you on! 💪

As the curtain falls on another season for Wincanton RFC, today was about more than just the result.

A strong 57–10 win on the board, but more importantly a performance built on togetherness, effort, and backing each other from first whistle to last. That’s what this team is all about. Rugby has always been more than the 80 minutes — it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder and showing up for your mates when it counts.

On ANZAC Day, that message carries even more weight. It’s a day that represents sacrifice, unity, and looking out for one another — values that sit at the very heart of our club.

Plenty to be proud of across the park, and to top it off, our resident Kiwi Jesse put in a huge shift and deservedly took home Man of the Match.

We win together, we stick together — and that’s what really matters.

🔥 FULL TIME: WHAT A NIGHT FOR WINCANTON! 🔥
Wincanton Rugby absolutely brought the heat yesterday with a huge 52–29 win over Tor 2s 💪🏉
Tries flying in, tackles going in harder than ever, and a scoreboard that just kept ticking… this one had everything. Pure class from start to finish 👏
BUT… the real question is — how did we end up finding Ollie’s long-lost twin on the same day?! 🤯
Still not convinced it wasn’t some kind of tactical substitution… 👀

One last time at home. 💥

This weekend marks our final home game of the season—and we’re ready to give it everything.

After a massive squad rebuild and our first year back in the league for a couple of seasons, we couldn’t be prouder of how far this group has come. New faces, growing combinations, and a team spirit that’s built stronger week by week.

This season has always been about building something—and now it’s time to show just how far we’ve come, in front of our home support.

Let’s make it a big one. Get down, get behind the lads, and help us finish our home campaign on a high. 🖤💛
