Recently, Tamme, a German exchange student, was studying at Coastland College. Grey Ranks are regular visitors, hosting lunchtime boxing sessions. Tamme joined us, and enjoyed it so much he began training at Grey Ranks. Over 6 months later, Tamme has just finished his final session with us and is heading home to Germany. He has developed a real love for the sport and intends to continue training back at home. We wish him all the best!

Last night was another fantastic night of amateur boxing, hosted by Grey Ranks boxing club at Weymouth Pavilion.

11 bouts of quality amateur boxing kept a supportive and vocal crowd well entertained.
Eight Grey Ranks boxers stepped into the ring. Rudy Randall stepped up from skills to his first competitive bout, losing to a boxer from Weston Warriors. Reuben Allington gave a great account of himself, losing via a very controversial split decision to a boxer from Baker Street boxing club. Akhmed Tagirov was stopped by a strong boxer from Westside boxing gym. Albert David lost out in a highly competitive and entertaining bout v a boxer from Weston Warriors. Daniel Smith gave a fantastic performance, winning by split decision versus a boxer from Westside London boxing gym. Rory Zima again showed great composure and intelligent boxing, and was rewarded with a unanimous win against a boxer from Falmouth & Penryn boxing club. Ethan Paulley demonstrated once again his skill and power, stopping a boxer from Finchley & District ABC from London.

We would like to thank all the boxers and their coaches and supporters who travelled to Weymouth to take part in our show. Each and every one played a part in making a fantastic night. As always, the boxers were a credit to their clubs.

Our appreciation goes to all the officials, judges, referees and the doctor. You are all an essential part of the night.

A Summer Storm is sweeping towards Weymouth Pavilion, and is set to unleash it's fury in the ring tonight. Grey Ranks are hosting their amateur boxing home show in the Ocean Room. With the doors opening at 6pm, boxing will begin at 7pm. Tickets are still available on the door. Here are a few points for the night ahead.

Saturday night is nearly upon us, and final preparations for our home show are taking place. Boxers and coaches from across the country will be heading to Weymouth to step into the ring and battle it out for the win. And you get a chance to experience the highs and lows of the sport in close proximity. All our tables are sold out, but some spectator tickets are still available. Adults £25, under 16's £15. Sessions have been really busy in the gym lately. We are having a great time, delivering coaching across all our age groups to people who really want to learn to box. Rory Zima stepped into the ring today in his first competitive bout. Representing Grey Ranks at the Golden Ring ABC home show, Rory gave a calm and collected performance that gave no clue that it was his first time stepping into the ring at this level. Rory walked away with a win on points against an opponent from 01 Gym. Thank you for a great contest.

The Grey Ranks boxers had a great night in Torremolinos. Rudy Randall lost his bout on a split decision, as did Reuben Allington. Akhmed Tagirov showed his usual speed and skill to come away with a unanimous decision for the win. Albert Davis was tenacious as always, also bringing home the unanimous win. Scott Lyones topped of the night with a great performance making it a third unanimous win. Congratulations to our boxers on a fantastic night and for representing Grey Ranks so well. Your hard work and training paid off tonight. Thank you to Postigo Boxing Club for inviting us and for hosting a great event.
