Modified 100e Challenge 2026 Event Report catch up!
Sincere apologies for the delay in reporting, here is a catch on our season so far.

Nostalgia Nationals

Event no 1 of our 2026 season saw 5 teams attending.
Testing on Friday, qualifying runs on Saturday afternoon and points runs on Sunday.

After Saturdays qualifying runs the order was:
1. Paul Lorne
2. Phoebe Davison
3. Sharon Carver
4. Steve Watson
5. Tim Bull

Sadly, Sharon and Jezabel were unable to run on Sunday, which left 4 teams running for points.

Round 1 saw Paul Lorne v Steve Watson and Phoebe Davison v Tim Bull.
Paul’s car, failed to start letting Steve through round 1 on a bye.
Phoebe took the R1 win from Tim, and also the round best reaction bonus.

Round 2 saw the previous round winners Phoebe and Steve paired against each other. It was a great run with both close to their numbers, but Phoebe took the win and the round best reaction bonus.
Paul was back for round 2 after tracing the problem, this time running against Tim. Paul had a big breakout, handing the R2 win to Tim.

In round 3 Paul lined up to race Steve after missing this match in the first round. Paul went red, while Steve kept his cool to take another win from Paul.
Phoebe and Tim in R3, Phoebe was closer to dial in to take the win and the round best reaction bonus.

The last round of the day saw both Steve and Tim withdraw from running leaving both Phoebe and Paul on bye runs.
Round 4 gave Paul his closest to dial in run of the day and the rounds best reaction bonus.
Phoebe also had a great run in R4 securing the event closest dial in bonus.

Clear winner for Nostalgia Nationals was Phoebe Davison driving Half Pint on 166 points after winning all 4 rounds, taking 3 of 4 round bonuses and the event best reaction bonus with a 0.0527 reaction in R2, and the event closest dial in bonus with a 0.0051 dial in difference in R4.

2nd Steve Watson driving Bad Apple on 59 points and in a close 3rd Paul Lorne driving Out on Bail on 57.

Also, congratulations to Phoebe Davison for receiving an NSRA award at Nostalgia Nationals.

Sportsman Nationals.

We 6 teams entered for this event.
Unfortunately it saw more breakages in the pits than we would have liked, but that’s racing as they say!

Fridays testing saw new member Colin out for the weekend. Saturday during qualifying Tim had transmission issues and Sharon discovered a fault that couldn’t be rectified at the track.

After Saturdays runs the qualifying order was:
1. Paul Lorne
2. Steve Watson
3. Phoebe Davison
4. Tim Bull

With Tim out for Sunday this left 3 teams competing for points.
Round 1, Paul had a bye and a great run with a dial in difference of 0.0054 which would later earn him the event closest dial in bonus.
Phoebe v Steve, Phoebe also had a great run with a dial in difference of 0.0074 to take the win from Steve and the round best reaction bonus.

Round 2, Steve had the bye this time and a solid run into R3.
Phoebe v Paul after the round 1 dial in differences, this race promised to be close. And it was with a margin of 0.02 between them for Paul to take the win. Phoebe took the round best reaction bonus.

Round 3, last of the weekend.
Phoebe on the bye this time. Great run to finish the weekend and taking the round best reaction bonus.
Steve v Paul. Paul lost it on the start line this time, but Steve scored a perfect 10 dial in difference bonus and took the win with an 11.2295 on an 11.22 dial in.

This event could have been anyone’s for a time but Phoebe Davison driving Half Pint pulled it out of the bag winning on a score of 117 after taking all 3 round reaction bonuses and the event best reaction bonus with a R1 reaction of 0.1778.
2nd Paul Lorne driving Out on Bail on 86 points and kept the event closest dial in bonus from R1 with a dial in difference of 0.0054.

Steve Watson driving Bad Apple in 3rd on 77 points, finishing a great weekend for the team with a cracking run and perfect 10 dial in bonus in R3.
