It is with sadness that we have to report that Patrik has made the agonising decision to sell his Nitro Funny Car operation. This was not a decision that was made easily but due to the financial climate it was the right thing to do.

Patrik intends to spend this year concentrating on his business activities and a total refurbishment of his home and workshop with a view to possibly returning to racing in 2026.

Patrik would like to thank the entire team for all their hard work and effort put in over the years.

The car has gone to a good home and will be on the track this year but as yet no details are available so watch this space. I expect to be able to make an announcement in the next couple of weeks.

Once again thank you everyone for your continued support.

Once the car is back in position in the pit area and up on the axle stands, the team swarm the car and get straight to work.

It truly is totally mesmerising to watch, the team getting the whole engine stripped, checked and ready to run again in under an hour.

It's like a well-choreographed dance in that each team member knows exactly where they need to be and what their role is, whilst also being fully aware of where their teammates are and what space they require.

In September we ran the first 300mph pass in European 1,000ft Funny Car racing.

Here's the run and the crew's reaction back in the pits.

There's only ever one first... 🔥🎉🏁

Now the race is on to the 3s!!! Who will be first to run a 3-second pass? 😏

We couldn't have done it without our incredibly hard-working crew, our awesome driver and of course the man who tuned the car, in from the USA, Terry Haddock.

Thanks to all involved, beyond working on the car and especially to all of our fans!

The atmosphere in our pit that evening was electric! Everybody still buzzing from the 303mph blast and the amount of fans that came by, along with other teams and drivers was awesome!

We have some more footage to post of that evening, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

So. Having had a week to reflect now and over the stress of taking the truck and trailer back to Stockholm it's good to be able to reflect on last weekend. So Michael Mcdonald and Mark Dear arrived at Santa Pod Raceway on Monday and set up the pit. The rest of us rolled in Tuesday night and Wednesday morning the goal being to do some testing Wednesday and Thursday. We managed 3 test runs in all and was very pleased with the outcome.

Friday saw Qualifying 1 and we ran a 4.89 which Patrik lifted at about 800 foot so we was quite happy with that. Qualifying 2 was the night show and for us was a disaster. We had a fuel issue and the car shut itself off on the hit.

Saturday saw Qualifying 3 and the numbers speak for themselves. 4.17 @ 299 mph created new European records on both ends of the scale. To say we was elated is an understatement. Qualifying 4 followed later in the afternoon. Weather conditions were perfect. We ran 4.16 @ 303 mph. The first car in Europe to run the magical 300.

Eliminations on Sunday found us up against The One Bad Texan being driven by American John Hale. We ran a winning 4.21 @ 299 only to be disqualified for a center line infringement which everyone found hard to swallow as it was part the finish line. It's seems European rules don't follow NHRA rules.

So that was our weekend.

So as most of you will be aware it's been an awesome weekend. We twice broke records. However we have been disqualified after winning Round 1 eliminations for crossing the center line. It's seems the MSA DON'T FOLLOW NHRA rules. We crossed the center line AFTER the 1000 feet finish line. In America this is acceptable. Sadly in England it isn't. I'll do a better report when i have calmed down. Understandably the whole team is very despondent at the moment.

So Silverstone is a wrap and what a successful weekend it was. Back to reality now and prepping for the Euro Finals next weekend.

Sadly Peter Lantz can not be with us so the legendary Funny Car Driver and Tuner Terry Haddock will be crossing the pond after the weekend to join us at Santa Pod Raceway next week.
