After a fantastic season celebrating our 75th year in the Cornwall Cricket League we finish with one last trip away.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the club throughout the season — players, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and everyone behind the scenes. 👏

Another fantastic performance from Veryan saw the boys chase down 249 to secure a well-deserved 5-wicket victory over Truro 2.

Batting first, Truro 2 posted a competitive 248-6 from their 45 overs. Veryan’s bowlers worked hard throughout, with James Fryer taking 2-26 and Matt Dixon 2-46.

In reply, Veryan produced another excellent batting display, led by a sensational 152 not out from Aaron Davey.

Davey was joined by Josh Kendall (33*), with the pair putting together a brilliant 122-run partnership to see us home.

Matt Tregunna also chipped in with 32, as Veryan reached 251-5 from just 40 overs to complete the victory with 30 balls to spare.

What a brilliant day of six-a-side cricket and a massive thank you to Matt Dixon for organising the tournament and helping make the day such a success. 👏
