Great fun and helping 6 youngsters including our former youth player, Nolan, to raise funds for their forthcoming under 15s tour with Cornwall to Sri Lanka.

🏆 TIER 2 COUNTY FINAL CHAMPIONS 2026 🏆

WHAT. A. DAY 👏🏏

St Erme 1st XI are the 2026 Cornwall Cricket League Tier 2 champions after a fantastic victory over Wadebridge 2nd XI at Lanhydrock today.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, we were bowled out for 135, with Callum Edgcombe the only player to really get going scoring a superb 54, including four sixes. It looked a modest total to defend but what followed was a brilliant bowling and fielding display.

In reply Wadebridge were dismissed for just 114, giving us a hard-fought 21-run victory and the trophy. 🏆

There were outstanding performances throughout, with Kyle Van Rooyen taking 3 wickets and Henry Hocking producing a sensational 5fer for the cost of just 25 runs, including two maidens, to see our opponents off in 30.2 overs.

What a way to cap off the season.

After topping Division 2 West and securing promotion back to County 1, today's victory was the icing on the cake for captain Sean Hooper and his side to what has been an outstanding year. Well done to each and every player who has played their part in making it happen.

Congratulations to Wadebridge Cricket Club 2nd XI on their equally successful season and promotion. We look forward to welcoming you to Castle Field in 2027.

It was the final night of our youth cricket training this evening.

29 children joined in our pairs cricket match this evening. The older the combined age of the batting pair, the more runs they had to get.

In the end it was our youngest pair from the All Stars group, Olivia and Grace who scored the most runs from their two overs. Followed in second by the next youngest pair, Alice and William. Well done! 👍 🏏

What a summer we have had since this season's youth training began back in May. So much Friday cricket fun was had, with over 80 children joining us some weeks across our All Stars, Dynamos, under 11s, 13s and 15s groups. It really is the beating heart of our club. 💪

Every ball caught, bowled and hit with a bat has helped our talented youngsters improve their cricket skills.

Thank you to everyone for coming along and to the numerous volunteers and coaches who give up their time to make it all happen. From admin and safeguarding roles, to cooking amazing pizzas and burgers. Not forgetting those behind the scenes who make sure we have a well kept pitch the train on. 🙏 👍

Here's to next season and doing it all over again! 🏏

🏏 COUNTY FINAL TIME! 🏏

It’s a huge day for our 1st XI this Saturday as they head to Lanhydrock CC for the Tier 2 Cornwall Cricket League County Final. 🏆

After topping Division 2 West, our 1st XI will take on Division 2 East winners Wadebridge 2nd XI with the County Final title up for grabs.

Here’s your St Erme team who will be going for glory on Saturday. 💪

🌧️ A weather-affected end to the 2026 season! 🌧️

The weather had the final say on the last weekend of the season today, with all three of our teams seeing their games fall victim to the conditions. As a result, the points were shared across all three fixtures.

🏏 3rd XI
Our 3rd XI currently sit in 2nd place in Division 7 Central, although Redruth still have a game in hand and could potentially move us down to 3rd. Either way, a 3rd-place finish would match our best ever league finish — so there’s plenty to be proud of! Some brilliant individual and team performances and talented young players made their debuts in senior cricket during the season.

🏏 2nd XI
Our 2nd XI finish the 2026 season in a very respectable 4th position in the Division 4 West table. A fantastic effort throughout the season.

🏆 1st XI — CHAMPIONS! 🏆

The shared points with Mullion today mean our 1st XI have successfully topped Division 2 West by 18 points and, most importantly, secured a well-deserved return to County 1 at the first time of asking! 🎉

What an achievement, and a huge congratulations to everyone involved.

👏 A massive well done to everyone who played their part in the 2026 season - players, captains, coaches, volunteers, grounds people, scorers, supporters and everyone behind the scenes. Without you all, this wouldn't be possible.

And a very special congratulations to our 1st XI on a superb promotion-winning season. 🏆

It’s the final game of the season for our 3rd XI tomorrow as they welcome Redruth 4th XI to Grampound Road for their final Division 7 Central fixture.

And there’s plenty to play for! 👀

The 3rds currently lead a three-way battle for 2nd place in the league standings, with St Erme sitting in 2nd after a run of 5 games unbeagten, Truro are snapping at our heels in 3rd, while tomorrow’s visitors Redruth sit 4th but have a game in hand.

So, a big one to finish the season! 💪🏏

The 2nds currently sit 4th in the league, with 5th-placed Redruth the opponents for the season finale.

It all comes down to this tomorrow at Castle Field! 🏏🔥

Our 1st XI host Mullion 1st XI in our final Division 2 West match of the 2026 season. We head into the clash sitting top of the pile with an 18-point cushion over Mullion in second place.

The equation is simple: take the win (or at least 3 points), seal the league title, and secure promotion back to County One at the very first time of asking! 🏆⬆️
