The South West Club Welfare Festival continues, bringing a month of online and in-person training, talks and workshops designed to strengthen welfare, safeguarding and wellbeing across sports clubs and organisations.

We’ve presented another community group award, this time to Andy who works at Wheal Martyn (who featured in some of our promotion)! Andy was a member of the St Austell Running Club team and found himself more than doubling his miles, exploring the local area and visiting places he’d never been to before🎉

Woo hoo - our Cornwall School Games partnership work with Wave Multi Academy Trust and Active Devon has been recognised with a national School Games Impact Award 2026 at the Youth Sport Trust School Games National Summit held at Telford International Centre on 2nd & 3rd June 🏆🎉

These awards showcase powerful examples of how to drive meaningful impact for young people and the community through the School Games network. We won the School Innovation & Impact Award for the Virtual School Games being delivering together for pupils who traditionally have little or no access to structured and suitable competitive sport, and proudly presented this work through a panel presentation and discussion. This World Bicycle Day we’re midst delivering Cornwall School Games Go Ride events with The Cornwall Bicycle Project all week at Carn Brea and Par Tracks. Congratulations to St Breock Primary School Year 5's who secured gold yesterday, The Cornwall Independent School who won silver, and St Breock Year 6’s who won bronze.

Walky Wheely Wednesday is underway across 5 pilot schools in Penzance and pledges are now open for supporting Bikeability’s Cycle to School Week from 5-9 October 2026, bringing a national focus to everyday cycling, to build confidence and discover how good the school run can feel on wheels. We've had a fantastic response to our Physical Activity Clinical Champion training with 88 local healthcare professionals attending so far from across , all sharing incredibly positive feedback – everything from “It’s been brilliant” to “Fantastic session and lots of evidence base information to support conversations with clients and colleagues”.
