On the board this week is a new Octopus study - I had forgot how much detail is required to get those te****les 🦑 looking just right!

The last three months have taken us from the Grand Union Canal, Oxford Canal, Ashby Canal, Coventry Canal, Trent and Mersey Canal, Nottingham and Beeston Canal and onto the River Trent.
Plenty of travelling before some closures due to water levels. At the moment we are lucky with plenty of water on the river.
Hope you like the photos of a few of our sights, wildlife and two happy but tired feline crew 😸😸
Hope all boaters are coping with the network and are well 😊

This may seem a bit of a overload, but my new drawing had been planned for a while as an accompaniment to my similar “Lion Cub Reflections” and sits in the middle of a planned trio - any guesses what the third big cat cup reflection could be?

On the drawing board this week…. It’s a return to one of my favourite animals to draw - this is after 30-40hours of what will be a good 60hour draw - worth it? Well I’m loving the process and think it looks great so far, so I’m enthusiastic to complete this one - however long it finally takes 😁

Sharing some photographs of our recent journey on the Stratford Canal and along the Grand Union Canal.

Through the very wet Shrewley tunnel and onto the 21 locks at Hatton.

We have done plenty of locks on this journey but the beautiful Warwickshire countryside is well worth it.
Simba and Biscuit feel the same and are catching up with some catnaps 😸😸

On the board this week is one that’s taking me an age to finish! 2 weeks in and hopefully on the last 1/4 of the - hope it will be worth all that extra time and effort 🙂
