If you’re a regular at Swaffham, you’ll have noticed there’s a bit of work happening around the 17th.

We’re currently undertaking some major improvements to the 17th green – part of our ongoing work to improve the course and the playing experience for everyone.

Temporary arrangements are in place around the 2nd, 17th and 18th while the work progresses, with the rest of your round played as usual.

It’s a little short-term adjustment for what will be a significant improvement to the course and we'll share more as the work progresses ⛳️

A great feature on our Course Manager, Colin Hutt, and the work that goes on behind the scenes here at Swaffham.

Managing a free-draining course with limited irrigation certainly has its challenges, particularly after the exceptionally dry conditions we’ve seen this year.

Great to see Colin sharing how a measured, long-term approach is helping us look after the course and continually improve the playing surfaces. ⛳️

Fore Get Me Not Golf at Swaffham is back this afternoon and we can't wait to see everyone!

We've got -friendly golf activities (putting, games, chipping — and a few holes for those who are able), carers, family are welcome to join in too.

Thinking about taking up golf, but not sure about turning up somewhere you don’t know anyone?

That’s one of the lovely things about the game. A round gives you time to chat, have a laugh and get to know the people you’re playing alongside – without any pressure to make conversation.

You might arrive not knowing anyone. You may well leave having made plans for your next round.

Golf has a habit of turning playing partners into friends.

Fore Get Me Not Golf is back next Wednesday, 26th August 💙⛳️

If you care for or support someone living with dementia who has enjoyed golf in the past, this is a lovely way to help them keep connected to the game in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Join us at Swaffham from 2–4pm for tea, cake, conversation and gentle golf activities including putting, games, chipping and, for those who are able, a few holes.

Carers, family members and companions stay and enjoy the afternoon too, with our volunteers on hand throughout.

No pressure, no expectations — just a welcoming couple of hours together.
