Something worth remembering… ✨

Surround yourself with people who lift you up.

People who celebrate your wins.

People who support your goals.

People who want to see you succeed, even if they’re not doing the same things as you.

They don’t need to understand every decision you make.

They just need to support the person making it.

The right people won’t feel threatened by your growth.

They’ll be proud of it.

And they’ll also be there to remind you just how far you’ve come when you forget šŸ’•

37KG Gone for Good!

And the best part?!

AJ loves the person staring back at her!

When we started working together in November 2023, she just wanted to lose weight and have a better relationship with food.

She didn’t like the way she looked in some of her clothes and knew that she was the only person who could change that.

Fast forward to now and just look at what she’s achieved!

No savage deficits.
No cutting out the foods she loves.

All whilst enjoying MANY social occasions, holidays and copious amounts of insanely good-looking cheesecake 🤣

(I live my dessert life through her when I’m dieting… no joke 🤣)

She now feels good around food because, like a lot of us, she would often eat past the point of being full.

That no longer happens.

She’s 5 dress sizes down, her confidence is absolutely soaring, and I no longer have to persuade her to buy new clothes 🤣

And there’s been no quick fix in sight.

Consistent adherence to the plan and trusting the process (and me 😜) is what has got AJ these results.

She doesn’t miss a beat.

In fact, we spent a good year at higher calories … and she STILL dropped weight 🤣

She upped her gym sessions from 2 to 3 per week and no longer heads home if the gym app says it’s close to capacity.

She marches in there confident AF and gets her workout done.

AJ has made incredible life-changing progress…

That’s the bit that makes my heart burst.

Not the 37kg.

Not the 5 dress sizes.

Not even the progress photos.

Seeing a woman who once doubted herself walk around feeling confident AF in her own skin.

That’s what it’s all about.

Because confidence changes everything.

The way you dress.
The way you carry yourself.
The way you speak.
The opportunities you say yes to.
The memories you make.

AJ isn’t the woman who joined me back in November 2023.

And watching that transformation happen has been an absolute privilege.

This is exactly why I fu***ng love what I do šŸ’–

8 Years Between These Photos…

Not 8 years of perfection.

But 8 years of learning, growing, and showing up… even when I didn’t feel like it.

Changing your lifestyle is never an easy journey.

I know that because I’ve lived it.

There have been times when motivation was nowhere to be found.

Times when life was really fu***ng stressful.

And times when training was hard enough to make me question whether all the effort was worth it.

But I kept showing up anyway.

Not always at 100%.

Sometimes at 80%.

Sometimes at 50%.

And sometimes I was just doing the bare minimum to keep moving forward.

But all of that has got me to where I am today.

I’ve navigated fat loss phases and building phases.

I’ve pushed food higher than felt comfortable.

I’ve gained weight on purpose.

And I’ve lost weight on purpose.

I’ve spent years learning when to push and when to be patient.

Working through injuries, setbacks, running two businesses, and times when I simply wasn’t enjoying the process.

But every phase taught me something.

Every phase helped me grow… not just physically, but mentally too.

Because confidence doesn’t come from reaching a goal weight.

It comes from proving to yourself, over and over again, that you can do hard things.

That you can keep the promises you make to yourself.

That you can continue moving forward even when progress feels slow.

The woman on the left was overweight, diabetic, and lacked confidence.

The woman on the right is the strongest, healthiest, and most confident she’s ever been.

Not because she’s perfect.

Not because she’s got it all figured out.

But because she never stopped trying.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this…

You don’t need to be perfect.

You just need to keep going.

Because small steps, repeated consistently over time, really do change your life.

Small Steps. Big Results. šŸ’•

Your holiday doesn’t have to ruin your progress…

In fact, you can enjoy yourself, make memories and still come home feeling good.

The goal isn’t to be perfect.

The goal is to enjoy yourself without completely abandoning the habits that got you results in the first place.

Here’s what I teach my clients, and what I do myself …

1. Keep two meals similar to home.

For me, that’s usually breakfast and lunch.

Then I enjoy my evening meal, whatever that looks like.

That one habit alone can make a huge difference.

2. Listen to your hunger cues.

Eat when you’re hungry.
Stop when you’re satisfied.

Remember…

There’s a difference between hunger and appetite.

Hunger is your body needing food.

Appetite is simply wanting food because it looks good, smells good, or simply because it’s there.

You don’t have to eat it just because it’s there šŸ˜‰

3. Stay hydrated.

Simple, but so many people forget.

Especially in the heat.

4. Keep your daily movement up.

Please don’t feel guilty if you don’t step foot in a gym all week (I never do 🤣).

The gym will still be there when you get home.

Whatever you choose, keeping active is a good idea.

Walk more.
Explore.
Swim.
Keep your step count ticking over.

That’s a win in my book.

One last thing… and most importantly…

If you want to track your food, great.

If you don’t, don’t panic.
It’s not the end of the world…

In fact, I encourage my clients to not feel guilty for taking a break from tracking whilst they’re away.

Enjoy the holiday.

Make memories.

Then get back to your normal routine when you return

And remember…

That one week away doesn’t have to undo months of progress ✨

āœˆļø Save this for your next holiday

Don’t let them bring you down.

One thing I’ve learned over the years…

Not everyone will be happy when you start changing your life.

And that can be a really difficult thing to come to terms with.

Especially when you’re finally doing something positive for yourself.

You’ll lose weight…

And someone will tell you you’ve lost too much.

You’ll start getting stronger…

And someone will tell you women shouldn’t lift weights.

You’ll start putting yourself first…

And someone will tell you you’re being selfish.

You’ll feel proud of yourself for hitting a milestone…

And someone will find a way to downplay it.

I’ve seen it happen.

And I’ve experienced it myself.

But here’s what I’ve learned…

Those comments usually say far more about the person making them than they do about you.

Because the people who are genuinely happy in themselves don’t feel the need to tear others down.

They cheer people on.

They celebrate other people’s wins.

They encourage growth.

So don’t shrink yourself to make someone else feel more comfortable.

Don’t stop posting progress pictures.

Don’t stop celebrating milestones.

Don’t stop chasing goals that matter to YOU.

Because this journey was never about them.

It’s about waking up feeling more confident.

Feeling stronger.

Feeling healthier.

Feeling proud of the person looking back at you in the mirror.

And if some people can’t support that?

That’s their problem, not yours.

Keep going anyway.

The right people will find you.

The people who clap when you win.

The people who remind you what you’re capable of when you’ve forgotten.

The people who genuinely want to see you succeed.

Trust me…

Those people are worth their weight in gold. šŸ«¶šŸ»āœØ

Ready to become the strongest, most confident version of yourself too?

Comments like this are not ok.

And says far more about the person writing/saying them than the person they’re aimed at … šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

However, these are actual comments that were left on my Shoot Update post last week.

These days I couldn’t give a s**t what people think about how I look.

But it did get me thinking…

Isn’t it funny how people always seem to have an opinion?

When I was overweight, people had opinions.

When I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, people had opinions.

When I started going to the gym, people had opinions.

When I lost weight, people had opinions.

And now I’m in my 5th photoshoot prep and apparently people have opinions about that too šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…

No matter what you do, someone will always have something to say.

And that’s exactly why you cannot spend your life making decisions based on other people’s opinions.

Because if you do, you’ll never be happy.

You’ll never lose the weight because someone might think you’re getting ā€œtoo skinny.ā€

You’ll never build muscle because someone might think it’s ā€œtoo much.ā€

You’ll never wear the clothes you want because someone might judge you.

You’ll never become the person you want to be because you’ll be too busy worrying about what everyone else think.

My reality is this…

This body has achieved things I once never thought were possible.

It’s stronger than it’s ever been.

It’s carried me through years of growth, challenges and lessons.

I’ve lost 55lbs.

I’ve put my Type 2 Diabetes into remission.

I’ve built strength and confidence I never had before.

And I’ve maintained those results for years.

I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved.

Not because I look a certain way.

But because of what this body is capable of.

So if there’s one thing I want you to take from this…

Stop letting other people’s opinions dictate how you live your life.

Because no matter what you do…

Someone will always have something to say anyway.

P.s … I apologise if my bone structure offends you Laura, I’m a naturally ribby person šŸ˜‚

The longer I coach, the more I realise this…

Most women don’t struggle because they don’t know WHAT to do.

They struggle because nobody has ever taught them how to do it consistently.

āž”ļø How to navigate weekends.

āž”ļø How to stop obsessing over scale weight

āž”ļø How to enjoy food without guilt.

āž”ļø How to stop comparing themselves to everyone else.

āž”ļø How to keep going when motivation disappears.

Because that stuff? … Once you’ve nailed it…

It changes everything.

Small Steps. Big Results. šŸ’•

Said no PT or Coach EVER!!!

And if you HAVE said that… fu***ng shame on you!

Because this idea that a coach should be able to ā€œfixā€ someone in 12 weeks and send them on their merry way is absolute nonsense.

People aren’t broken.

And real change doesn’t happen in a 12-week transformation package either!

Most women come into my coaching with literally YEARS of dieting behind them.

ā€¼ļøYears of being on and off plans.
ā€¼ļøYears of starting Monday after Monday.
ā€¼ļøYears of all-or-nothing thinking around food.
ā€¼ļøYears of believing they’ve ā€œfailedā€ because nothing ever stuck.

So no… I’m not expecting to unravel all of that in a few short months.

Because losing weight is one thing.

But learning how to:
✨Keep it off.
✨Navigate social events.
✨Stop panicking every time the scales fluctuate.
✨Eat normally without feeling guilty.
✨Train because you enjoy it — not because you’re punishing yourself.

That takes time!

It takes repetition.
It takes support.

It takes someone in your corner while you practise the boring basics over and over again until they actually become second nature.

And that doesn’t happen overnight.

So if someone stays with a coach for a year… or longer?

It doesn’t mean the coach is s**t.

It usually means the client has finally found something that works.

They feel supported.
They’re progressing.

And for the first time… they’re not doing it alone.

And honestly?

THAT is the goal.

Not ā€œfixingā€ someone as quickly as possible.

But by helping them build something that actually lasts.

Because the boring basics done consistently will always win…

And honestly?

That’s the kind of coaching I’ll always stand behind!

Just ask my clients šŸ˜‰
