A lot of people think personal training is something you do for 6 weeks, tick a box, and move on. When actually most of my 1-to-1 clients have been training with me for years.

Not because they're incapable of training on their own, but because fitness isn't a project with a finish line. Goals evolve, life changes, motivation fluctuates, injuries happen, and having structure and accountability helps.

The clients who get the best results aren't usually the ones looking for the quickest fix. They're the ones who commit to building habits that last.

Short-term transformations are great for marketing. Long-term consistency is what actually changes lives.

People don’t usually question someone using medication for conditions like high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes. I wear a hearing aid and no one has ever told me the things it let's me hear don't count because I had help.

But with weight loss, there’s often an assumption that it only “counts” if it’s done the hardest way possible. GLP-1 medications aren’t a replacement for healthy habits they are a support that makes those habits more achievable and sustainable for some people.

Progress doesn’t become less meaningful because you had help getting there.

The goal has never been to make weight loss harder. The goal is to improve health.

Your coach provides guidance, structure, and accountability, but the effort still has to come from you. Good training is always a partnership. The goal is not for you to be dependant on me, it’s for you to be confident and progress. Support makes the process easier, not effortless. Show up for yourself.

Healthy eating doesn't mean you have to eat bland meals or cut out everything you love. The most successful nutrition plans include enjoyment and flexibility (and that includes the occasional Biscoff McFlurry and Birds cake!). Food is more than just numbers. You can care about health and still enjoy eating. The two don't have to be opposites.

p.s. it always blows my mind that Birds Bakery is literally a Midlands only thing and anyone from anywhere else will have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.
