A huge well done to all the young shamrocks players today. Some great hurling played. They should be proud of them selves.

May “Cookies” entire family circle find comfort in the love and support of those around them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Cookie was a friend to all , and always to our club , so proud of his grandson Eoghan and indeed all his family.

May he rest in peace 💚

The death has taken place September 2nd 2026
at Altnagelvin Hospital of Aiden (Cookie) Dunne
6 Townsend Street, Strabane and formerly of Mourne Avenue
and Bridge Street, Strabane.
Beloved husband of the late Veronica,
much loved father of Grainne, Sorcha, Clodagh and Fiona,
dearly loved grandfather of Fianna, Connlai, Tomas, Aoibh, Eoghan,
Dearbhla and the late baby Dualta
and brother of Manus, Irene, Rosaleen
and the late Mary, Helen, Kay, Hugh(Tusie), Pat and Jackie.
Reposing at the family home on Thursday (September 3rd) from 6p.m.
Funeral leaving the family home on Saturday (September 5th)
at 11.40a.m. for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strabane at 12 noon.
Cremation afterwards in Lily Hill Crematorium, Letterkenny at 4.30p.m.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing daughters, brother, sisters, grandchildren,
nieces and nephews wide family circle and all his friends
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
FAMILY TIME PLEASE FROM 10p.m. to 11a.m.
AND ON THE MORNING OF THE FUNERAL.
