Right who’s struggling with Binge Eating ?
I’m absolutely no expert!! But here are a few things that helped me become Binge free
💥 Identify your Triggers (Emotional, Environmental, or Physical)
• When eating check in with yourself, the thought process before consuming, during and after. Write it down in a journal. Be honest, no1 needs to know.
📝 This will help you spot patterns like stress, boredom, trigger foods, people! & certain environments.
💥 Balanced Meals
• No more tracking apps create 3 structured balanced meals a day that you enjoy, with little snacks on hand, focusing on protein, fiber, and carbs! Take away to much choice.
📝 Skipping meals/ under eating, Removing food groups, can lead to intense hunger and potentially a loss of control later on. Get on top of the issue before it’s even started.
I get it! You think “this time I will have more self control” “this is the last binge”
How many years have gone by now?
💥 Practice Self-Compassion, F*CK Shame
• Instead of criticizing yourself after a binge, try this:
Accept it… It’s s**t! The feeling fully consumes you BUT.. it’s done. Don’t skip your next meal eat something balanced and nutritious.
Go through your day… who did you speak to? Have you been feeling mentally about yourself? Are you currently in a happy space?
Councling.
📝 Shame increases stress, lack of worth and can fuel the binge cycle.
Compassion/acceptance/understanding with create a spade for change without guilt.
Last note:
This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to come to terms with and speak about with no shame.. (and sometimes that shake oddly returns)
Becoming self aware, accepting I was a binge eater
