🏉 A big day out for Baildon Rugby Club Age Grade! 🏉

This Saturday, 11th July, our Age Grade section will be heading to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to cheer on England as they take on Fiji in the inaugural Nations Championship.

🚌 Our double-decker coach is FULL, with over 40 children from our U10s through to U15s making the trip to support England and experience international rugby together.

Days like these are what rugby is all about—creating memories, inspiring the next generation, and enjoying the game together as one club.

Have an amazing day, everyone, and let's make plenty of noise for England! 🏴🏉

🏉 Meet the Strength & Conditioning Coaches at Baildon RUFC 🏉

Next up, we're proud to introduce our Strength & Conditioning team for the upcoming season – James Morton and Danny Pollard!

Together, James and Danny bring a wealth of experience across both rugby codes, having worked and played in professional, semi-professional, and amateur environments. Their shared passion is helping players become stronger, faster, more resilient athletes while creating a culture built on hard work, accountability, and continuous improvement.

James has built his experience through clubs including Otley, Bradford & Bingley, Keighley Cougars, Newcastle Thunder, and Baildon. He is passionate about helping players reach their potential while fostering resilience, accountability, and the qualities that make great teammates.

Alongside him, Danny brings over 20 years of coaching experience, with knowledge gained from clubs around the world including Templários Rugby Clube, Kolkata Jungle Crows, Hangzhou Harlequins, Dubai Hurricanes, and Baildon. His philosophy centres on setting high standards, embracing challenges, and developing stronger, faster, more resilient athletes through consistent effort and continual improvement.

Together, they'll be driving the physical development of our senior squad, ensuring players are prepared to perform at their best every time they pull on the red, white and black.

We're delighted to have James and Danny leading our S&C programme and can't wait to see the impact they'll make this season. 🔴⚪⚫

🏉 PRESEASON 2026/27 🏉

The road to the new season starts here 🔴⚪⚫

Preparations are already underway at Baildon RUFC, with T1 Rugby kicking things off in June before we move into a full preseason programme throughout July.

It’s a huge opportunity for the squad to build fitness, sharpen skills, strengthen connections, and lay the foundations for an exciting season ahead.

📅 Preseason Fixtures:
🔹 6 August – vs Harrogate Pythons
🔹 18 August – vs West Leeds
🔹 27 August – vs Keighley

A massive thank you to all three clubs for organising the fixtures - we’re looking forward to some competitive rugby and a strong test ahead of the new campaign.

Next up, we’re proud to introduce Grant Nunney, one of our Forwards Coaches for the upcoming season!

Having spent six years at Baildon RUFC, Grant knows exactly what makes this club such a special place. Alongside his experience at Syston and West Park Leeds, he brings a strong focus on development, accountability, and helping players reach their full potential.

Grant’s coaching philosophy is built around:

His aim is to create a clear, position-specific approach that helps players improve their game, grow in confidence, and enjoy their rugby every step of the way.
