Stay & Play Update

Please note that Stay & Play will not be running tomorrow (18th June).

Everyone who had booked has been contacted by email with details of an alternative session.

Stay & Play will then take a short break over the next two weeks, with sessions resuming on Wednesday 9th July.

We have a couple of things on this week for families of people who have a Learning Disability or who are neurodivergent:

Wed 27th May 2026
We have our usual Proper Games session on, but at the earlier time of 10 am - 2pm.
At OPP - 1 Manor Lane, Shipley.
This is an easy going games session where you get choose your own games, you can play solo, with others, noisy or quiet. You could bring your own game to teach us!

Thursday 28th May 2026
1pm - 3pm we will be at the Activity Den in Shipley. We will have use of the sensory room and the big room for more games! (This is instead of our usual Monday carer group)

£5 donation for each session.
Please let us know in advance if you want to come so we can make sure we have enough tea bags!

💛 Important Stay & Play Update 💛

We wanted to let everyone know about an important change to our Stay & Play sessions.

Unfortunately, as our current funding for the group has now come to an end, we are no longer able to continue running sessions on a pay-as-you-feel basis.

From June (after half term), all Stay & Play sessions will need to be booked online in advance.

✨ Pricing Options ✨

🧸 Single Sessions
• £2 for the first child
• £1.50 for each additional child

🧸 Half-Term Booking
• £10 for the first child
• £7.50 for each additional child

Please note that sessions will only run if enough children are booked on. If we do need to cancel a session, we will aim to give at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.

These changes will help us continue running sessions and allow us to plan staffing and resources properly.

Heather would also like to personally thank everyone for the kindness, patience, and support shown during sessions. The moments where people have helped with her own children have meant more than you know.
The support and sense of community within the group has truly been appreciated.

Our next Dementia Information Event will be held at Shipley Library on Wednesday 20th May from 11.30am-1.30pm as part of Dementia Action Week.

There will be a short presentation about Dementia followed by an opportunity to talk to various organisations and services re information & support.

We will also be holding a "Time for a Cuppa" event with coffee & cake to raise funds for local dementia groups (cash only).
