Sheerness Town Council is pleased to announce that five Community Grants of £500 were approved at the Full Council Meeting held on 16 June 2025.

We would like to thank and congratulate the following organisations:

• Apex Boxing Academy. Supporting improvements to their gym area
• Sheerness Swimming Club and Lifeguard Corps. Helping their squad train at the London Aquatics Centre
• Age UK Sheppey. Funding an EpiPen station
• Oasis Community Hub. Supporting a food bank subscription project
• Medway Road Flower and Vegetable Gardening Club. Providing new equipment for members

These projects make a real difference in our community and reflect the strength of local organisations.

Our Little Ant man Jacob boxing in his 2nd and final skills of the weekend putting in another good shift to see him now moving into the scoring bouts moving forward.

Another great show this weekend at

3 boys boxing all performing well
Jacob the Ant putting in another solid shift for his skills bout.
Oli 'Sid' ODG out for his first and last skills after having his card stamped following a solid performance
Noel missed out on points decision to a smooth operator who used his natural height to his advantage. Great learning bout for our boy. 🙌🥊

All in all, good night at the office.

Now off to Essex tomorrow for another 3 lads out on the Brentwood show.

To many victims in this world today. People think if they say it loud enough it becomes a reality, unfortunately the naive believe it as they too don't understand.

The only manifestation you need is prayer the rest of your results come from hard work and dedication.

Solid rounds for the Team last night.

Always have an 'aim' for your sparring.

Last night we wanted tough solid rounds for the lads outside of their comfort zones.
They been sparring similar even opponents lately and working on there shape and skills which is great genrally, but sometimes (not every week but every so often) we have to match them tough.
Bigger, older or more experinced boys will bring that fight mentality out in the boxer, the nerves, the adrenaline and mindset and thats where a boxer needs to grow comfortable to stay composed and calculated....Once they can stay composed in that environment they level up.
