As a club, we will be taking on the Keepy-Uppy Challenge for the Bobby Moore fund raising money and awareness for bowel cancer.

Players, coaches and managers from our club will be attempting as a club to hit 100 keep-ups for every day of the World Cup. If anyone wishes to be involved and doesn't mind being on social media, please send a short video over of the attempt.

Looking forward to our club working together and having fun, whilst importantly raising money for a great cause :)

A huge well done to our U9 Giants who represented New Road FC at the Ballerz Tournament yesterday.

While the results didn't quite go their way this time, what stood out most was their determination, effort, and incredible team spirit throughout the day. They never stopped encouraging each other, kept their heads held high, and showed exactly what being part of New Road FC is all about.

Tournaments aren't just about winning trophies; they're about learning, developing, making memories, and supporting your teammates, and the Giants did all of that in abundance.

We're incredibly proud of every single player, as well as the coaches and parents who cheered them on throughout the day. Keep smiling, keep believing, and keep enjoying your football — your hard work will pay off.

🗣 Message from the Chairman..

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all family and friends of New Road who attended our Presentation Day this year. The plan was to make the event bigger and better than usual however sadly the weather put paid to that with several stalls and businesses dropping out due to the conditions.

The weather changed throughout the day but there were still plenty of smiles on faces as over 300 children and adults went up to collect their trophies. Lots of positive comments on the trophies and we appreciate WK - Key Cutting, Shoe Repairs, Trophies, Medals and Awards for their tireless hard work.

P&M Scaffolding Ltd once again provided the stage for the event and our Managers/Coaches/Parent Reps/Committee gifts were made by Netties Personalised Prints and Subs Jeanette Telford and Danielle Charmaine provided the inspiration for the mugs hard work on the chocolate boxes.

It was great to try something a bit different this year and Alex MacGowan was brilliant on stage; we look forward to having him back. We also made history with our first ever New Road Ladies vs Mums match, which will now form our annual tradition.

Thank you to all the stalls and food outlets that attended. Having had a fair few cancel, we appreciate you still attending and contributing to the day. Dees Man Burger Van, Rossi Charlie ice cream van hire in kent, Leoma for the face painting, Cute Paws Doggy Day Care, Hazel Finch for her delicious treats, Fairy Dust Crafts, Sweet treats, Let's Get Crafting and the cycling group.

A thank you to all of our Managers, Coaches and parent reps who have given up their time throughout the season in all weathers so children can play football. A thank you to the players too for representing the club and being part of our fantastic team.

Lastly, a thank you to my fellow committee members - Dan Bateman David Newman Laura Manser, Danielle, Hazel, James Stone, Claire Smart and Rikki Smart

No one sees all the hard work they all do to put events like this on and to keep the club running and thriving. The countless WhatsApp groups and issues to contend with whilst dealing with normal life, just so children can play football in a safe and secure environment. A day after Presentation Day, we are already looking ahead to the tournament days next month and next season preparations are under way.

As a club, we continue to grow and build with more changes on the horizon but I couldn't wish to do it with a greater group of individuals and look forward to the year ahead.

📢 Presentation Day Update 📢

Unfortunately, we have had two last-minute changes to today's Presentation Day.

The bar provider has made the decision not to attend following information they received regarding potential disruption at local events this weekend. After carrying out their own risk assessment, they have chosen not to attend.

In addition, the bouncy castle company has cancelled due to the high winds forecast today. As safety must always come first, they do not feel it would be safe to operate.

We understand this may be disappointing, especially for the children looking forward to the bouncy castle and for those hoping to enjoy a drink whilst celebrating. However, these decisions have been made by the individual providers, and we fully respect their commitment to safety.

Please feel free to bring your own soft drinks, tea, coffee and refreshments to enjoy throughout the day. 🥤☕

The good news is that Presentation Day is still very much going ahead as planned! 🏆⚽💙

We can't wait to celebrate all of our amazing players and everything they have achieved this season. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We have our first ever Mums vs Ladies Vets game and we also have some musical entertainment 🎤

The club are finally starting the process where we are realistically and legally able to make changes to the hut, which is in a sorry state to say the least.

We have a few ideas of what we want to do but also wish to put it out to the local community for ideas and potential assistance as this will be a big project over the coming months.

Our site visit is likely within the next few weeks so it will be good to have a few suggestions by then so we can see what is possible and what is not.

New Road is exploring ways to improve and refurbish the hut at festival playing fields. We want to hear from our parents, players, supporters and our local community about what you would like to see and whether you can help bring those ideas to life.
