This evening we played a friendly against newly formed local side Sheerness East Walking Football Club. This was only their second competitive game. It ended 2-0 to Rovers after two second half goals from Bungle and Wozza (pen). A fairly even sided game, with Sheerness playing some good football. We weren't at our best, but it took nothing away from our opponents who played well and I'm sure the experience will help them on their journey onwards. We look forward to another one against our neighbours in a couple of months.

Come down and watch our first local derby against the newly formed Sheerness East team.

The last league game of the season tommorrow morning between Chatham Town and Maidstone United. This will decide if we win the league or not. Maidstone will need to win by 9 clear goals to pip us to the title. That will be a hard ask against a Chatham team who have hit good form lately. A win for Chatham would lift them from 5th to 3rd in the final placings. An interesting last game of the season which could give us our first League Title and a place in the Kent Finals day on the 17th.

Aylesford 0 Range Rovers 4. Well, what an outstanding end to our season. Aylesford have been on top of the league all season until we beat Anchorians last week. This was a must win game for both teams to have a chance of winning the League. We needed to win to get some distance between us and the two below and Aylesford need a win to go level on points with us and have a better goal difference which would have stopped us from winning the League. A frantic start with Aylesford having more of the ball and finding gaps to shoot with Pete pulling off several great saves. We started to have a bit more of the ball and limited their opportunities. Some great work by Graham led to the ball falling to Keaysie who scored his first. We frustrated them and they started to make poor passes which we intercepted and had a couple more chances. Keaysie scored his second from a long range shot which flew past the keeper. Half time 0-2. The start of the second half Aylesford started to try and press high, but we defended superbly and blocked their way through, when they did manage to get a shot off, Pete made the saves every time. Another good move forward left Keaysie with space who scored another belter from distance. We had control of the game, our management of the game was superb, no flapping and we completely frustrated them. As they pushed up, another great move found Nonny on the right, he calmly put it past the keeper with seconds to spare. That has put paid to Aylesford's chances of winning the league. I am extremely proud to have been part of the team and today's performance just topped that off. The depth of the team is excellent and it is a hard job to make decisions as to who starts. Thanks to all who have taken the subs position or been subbed, a great team performance. It is now in Maidstone's hands. They need to win both of their last two games and score a hat full of goals. They play bottom team Anchorians and a much improved Chatham. Well done all, what a season. We have done all we can.
