The Phoenix 2026 didnt disappoint!
Congratulations to all the RTSC club members that took part in the Phoenix. It takes great courage to get out there and face your fears of competing, especially when the competition is so high. There were so many elite shooters at the Phoenix, so a special well done to those who were experiencing Bisley for the first time as competitors. You did the club and yourselves proud.
RTSC took home a number of medals, so a HUGE congratulations to those who achieved Gold, Silver, Bronze and HPSs; and a special mention for Pat and Ben in despatches! The teams also did well in the events, coming 3rd in one.
Personally, I want to thank Simon and Pat who assisted me during the gallery rifle comp. I got to the range, but it was so bright I couldnt see my red dot! Simon and the range staff along with Mike D did everything they could to help me and Pat kindly stepped in and loaned me his rifle. Thank you to Simon who loaned me his car to get about Bisley, as I had to get from one range to another across the site - which was a challenge carrying an AI, AR, R***r and other kit. Thank you to Matt who brought drinks over to McQueens whilst we slowly melted away. Thank you to Paul B for the ammunition and all your help at 8/900yrds, along with Glen G ❤️
Thank you to all the ROs and admin teams that pull these events together and make them happen, without my wheels would have fallen off a long time ago!!
It was an absolute joy to spend time with fellow club members and those from other clubs across the ranges at Bisley. Shooting truly is a sport where everyone seeks to support their fellow shooter to compete to their highest standard. I feel truly blessed to be part of this community or what feels like a family of like minded people. Thank you and well done to you all ... looking forward to the next competition 😃
