qualifications, and a multifaceted approach to sports, I've become a well-known figure in the local cricket coaching scene.
🏆 Cricket Excellence - I am the driving force behind Little Wickets Cricket Academy, a place where young cricketers from Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford, and beyond embark on their cricket journey.
🏏 Playing and Coaching - I don't just talk the talk; I walk the walk. As a proud member of the Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club, I've had the privilege of playing for their teams. Not only that, I've captained the Sunday team at Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club, leading by example on and off the field. In the summer, my coaching extends to the grassroots level. I coach ECB's Allstars and Dynamos cricket, introducing youngsters to the joys of the game and helping them take their first steps into the cricketing world.
🌟 Pioneering for Equality - My commitment to cricket knows no bounds. I not only play and coach but have also initiated and now lead Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club's first all-girls teams. It's a proud moment for me to contribute to the growth of women's cricket and provide opportunities for young girls to shine on the cricket pitch.
🎓 Educator Extraordinaire Beyond the cricket pitch, I take my expertise into the classroom. I proudly serve as a multi-sports and PE coach at two schools in Harlow and I also coach at Mandeville and Spellbrook primary schools, instilling the values of discipline, teamwork, and the joy of physical activity in young minds. My dedication extends far beyond coaching; it's about shaping well-rounded individuals.
🏊♂️ Championing Aquatic Excellence Beyond the cricket field, I make waves in the swimming world. I am also a dedicated Level 2 Swim England swimming coach at Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club, where I coach competitive swimmers across a spectrum of age groups, from junior squads to masters. My coaching expertise finds its home at Grange Paddocks and Bishop's Stortford College in the evenings, where I help aspiring swimmers reach their aquatic goals.
🇱🇰 Diving Roots Sport has been an integral part of my life since my formative years. A standout athlete from a young age, I represented Sri Lanka in springboard and platform diving, showcasing a remarkable talent that later found its true calling in cricket. This diverse sporting background provides me with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of what it takes to excel in the world of sports.
💆 Sports Massage Therapy I'm not content with just coaching and teaching. I recently added another feather to my cap by becoming a certified sports massage therapist. Soon, I will open my diary to offer expert sports massage services as a separate business venture. This multifaceted approach ensures that athletes not only receive top-notch coaching but also have access to vital recovery and injury prevention strategies. I am more than just a cricket coach; I am a mentor, educator, and therapist, all rolled into one.
