My 5yr old daughter wanted to join in, so we did some exercises together ❤️

I talk a lot about my struggles with hormones, brain fog, low energy, anxiety and the days when I really don’t feel like exercising.

Because the truth is, I don’t always feel motivated. Some weeks are harder than others (even being a personal trainer)

But what I want my daughter to see isn’t perfection.

I want her to see that even when things feel difficult, we can still show up for ourselves.

That looking after our bodies isn’t about punishment it’s about being strong physically and mentally and it’s something to be proud of.

Our children are always watching!!!

Every time we choose to keep going, we’re teaching them resilience.

So on the days when my hormones are all over the place and I don’t feel like doing much at all, I remind myself that I’m not just doing this for me.

I’m showing both my daughters what is possible. ❤️💪🏼

BIT OF A BORING POST BUT IF IT INSPIRES SOMEONE THEN IT MAKES ME HAPPY! 💛

27km training walk completed today 👣

In September I’ll be taking on a 57km ultra hike along the South Coast with a few of my bootcamp ladies 💪🏼

I think as mums, we’re so good at putting everyone else first.

But I am learning more and more how important it is to have something that’s just for us too, whether it’s a goal, a challenge or an adventure.

Just something that reminds us that we’re more than the school runs, packed lunches, and endless to do lists.

Maybe this is your sign to sign up for that challenge you’ve been thinking about???

You might just surprise yourself. 💛

10 reps of back squats… and this was just the beginning! 🥵🔥

This is called German Volume Training (GVT) it’s a training method that typically involves 10 sets of 10 reps using the same exercise and weight.

I’m not saying every woman in perimenopause should rush off and do 100 squats, and I definitely don’t think this style of training is something you need to do all the time.

What I am saying is this…

Perimenopause and menopause are not a reason to stop challenging your body.

As our hormone levels change, we naturally start to lose muscle mass, strength, bone density and metabolic efficiency. That’s exactly why resistance training becomes even MORE important.

Training methods like German Volume Training can:
✔️ Build and maintain lean muscle
✔️ Improve strength and resilience
✔️ Support healthy bones
✔️ Boost metabolism
✔️ Improve insulin sensitivity
✔️ Increase confidence in what your body is capable of

The key is listening to your body and choosing the right level of challenge for you. When you’re feeling strong, well recovered and motivated, pushing yourself can be incredibly empowering. On the days your body needs a little more support, it’s okay to adjust and train accordingly.

Too many women are told to slow down, do less and accept feeling weaker as they age.

I disagree.

Your body is asking for strength, not surrender.

Challenge yourself when it feels right. Recover well. Fuel your body. And remember that getting older doesn’t mean becoming fragile.

Who else loves a squat challenge? 👇🏼🔥

Have You Lost Your Mojo?

Feeling stuck, unmotivated or like you’ve completely fallen off track lately?
Maybe you know what you should be doing, but finding the motivation, confidence or consistency to get started again feels overwhelming.

Sometimes all you need is the right support, guidance and accountability to get the ball rolling again.

I currently have 3 personal training slots available for ladies wanting to feel stronger, fitter and more confident over the next 12 weeks.

✨ Available slots:
• 2 daytime slots
• 1 Wednesday evening slot at 5:15pm

These are perfect for women who:
✔️ Feel like they’ve lost their routine
✔️ Need help getting back into exercise
✔️ Want support with confidence and consistency
✔️ Are struggling with motivation
✔️ Want to feel good in themselves again

I’m offering:
• 1-1 Personal Training
• Partner Training
• Small Group Training (up to 3 ladies)

Training with a friend or small group is a great way to keep costs lower while still getting personalised support — the more people in the group, the cheaper the cost per person.

Over the 12 weeks, we’ll focus on building sustainable habits, improving strength and fitness, and helping you feel like you again. 💛

If you’re ready to stop putting yourself last and finally get back on track, send me a message for more information or to secure a slot.

I used to be a lot stronger with these, but I seem to dip in and out of training with them. One thing I do know though… I’d still love to be able to do at least one pull-up when I’m post-menopausal 💪

Have you ever wanted to be able to do a pull-up?

Here are 5 exercises that can help you progress 👇

• Hang holds — help improve grip strength and confidence hanging from the bar.
• Shoulder depressions — the starting movement for building pull-up strength.
• Negatives — great for building overall upper body strength and control.
• Seated pull-ups — show that your strength is improving through the movement pattern.
• Assisted pull-ups — help you work through a fuller range of motion while building strength.

Remember, your first pull-up doesn’t happen overnight. Focus on progression, stay consistent, and trust the process 💪

Two consecutive days, I’m on a Roll 🤣

Most mornings feel heavy these days.
But I’m not letting it get the better of me.

A gentle walk. A slow run.
Nothing dramatic, just showing up again.

I’m no runner in fact this is the first run in a very long time. But I know this is going to set my day off right, not be only for me physically but also for my mental health 🤍

I preach consistency all the time… but I’ve been doing the complete opposite over the past couple of weeks.

Training has been all over the place, my food choices haven’t been great, and I’ve definitely slipped back into old habits 😢

But I also know, that’s life sometimes.

I think the difference now is that instead of completely giving up and saying “what’s the point?”, I recognise it quicker. I know when I need to pull myself back together before a few off days turn into a few off months.

Because health and fitness isn’t about being perfect 24/7. It’s about building habits that become part of your lifestyle long term. Habits you can always come back to, even after the messy periods.

Right now I feel rubbish. Bloated, sluggish, uncomfortable in myself… and I’ve definitely had those thoughts creeping in of “this is it now… this is my perimenopause body kicking in.”

I refuse to accept that feeling at nearly 44 years old. I want to prove to myself that I can feel strong, healthy, confident and energised again, and not just for a few weeks, but as a way of life.

So this is me getting myself back on track, I’m heading off to the gym to train this morning. I’m not going to do anything extreme, I’m not going to punish myself. I’m just going back to the basics again in a way I know what makes me feel good physically and mentally.

And if you’re feeling the same lately, maybe this is your sign to stop waiting for Monday too ❤️

I’m also opening up a few new PT spaces at the moment for women who want support with building realistic habits, improving strength, confidence and feeling better in their bodies again, especially through the chaos of hormones, busy life and everything in between.

We’re not aiming for perfection over here… just progress and feeling good again ✨
