Last week saw a group of Joulers on an overseas adventure to bag an extra parkrun for Ascension day.

We started in Oslo 🇳🇴 enjoying bike and walking tours to take in the sights and a traditional sauna 🥵 and dip in the fjord 🥶

We ran at Tøyen parkrun. A slightly hilly three lapper. It was a great morning with a great atmosphere.

We then set sail on an overnight cruise to Copenhagen 🇩🇰. Much merriment was had enjoying the onboard activities of bingo, the hot tub and quiz. RTJ upheld our reputation as quiz masters once again and even won another cruise 🏆

After enjoying the sights of Copenhagen in glorious sunshine we then experienced parkrun in biblical conditions at Amager Strandpark parkrun and Fælledparken parkrun 🌧️. Both lovely courses.

We are already turning our thoughts to our next away trip. Will you be joining us? 👀

🌳parkrun roundup🌳

We had some parkrun and non parkrun milestones to celebrate this weekend along with a bit of touristing.

Matt celebrated his 50th birthday at Peel 🎂.

Laura celebrated her 100th parkrun and Ted did his first at Stretford.

Freddie chose to celebrate his 16th birthday at Chadderton Hall.

Steve and Miriam continued their parkrun tourist streak at Gedling and Richard continued his tourist streak at Green park.

More locally Sarah and Zoe decided on a parkrun sandwich 🥪 at Alexandra where they were joined by John, Gary and Adam.

We had RTJ’s all across the country this week but very few sign selfies 🙈

Rachel and Freddie headed to Vicar Water Country Park to bag another V for their 3rd Alphabet 🔠

Steve and Miriam headed to Perton Playing Fields for event 16 on the Wilson Index 1️⃣6️⃣

We had Kane at University Parks, Richard at St Helen’s, Zoe and Ali at South Mcr, Becs at Stretford, Phil at Burnage, and Chris and Ian at Fletcher Moss.

And of course a faithful few attended Sale Water Park.

This week saw our monthly RTJ parkrun meet up at Haigh Woodland parkrun. A great turnout on a lovely sunny day. What could be better 😍
