Great fight and determination shown by the lads tonight as they battled to a thrilling 2-18 to 2-16 victory.
After a strong start, we settled into the game well, but the heat soon began to take its toll and our intensity dropped slightly as we headed into half-time with a 1-9 to 1-4 lead.
Credit to Lawrence’s, who came out for the second half with real purpose. A couple of excellent two-pointers helped them swing the momentum, and they eventually built up a considerable lead, stretching to double figures heading into the final quarter.
This is where the character of the lads really shone through. With a never-say-die attitude, they pressed every kick-out, fought tirelessly for breaking ball, and kept the opposition pinned back in their own half. Some superb scores, including a number of two-pointers and a crucial goal, brought us right back into contention.
The belief never wavered, and the lads kept driving forward until they eventually edged ahead and secured a hard-earned two-point victory.
A fantastic display of spirit, resilience and teamwork from the entire squad. Let’s keep pushing forward!
