St Brendan's GAA Manchester Lancashire's most successful GAA club. Established 1959, 22 Senior Football Championships. All Britain Champions 2021. Lancashire Senior Champions 2025 St.

Brendan's GAA have been promoting Gaelic football in Manchester since 1959. Lancashire Senior Championship & League winners 2021. The club has a proud history and tradition of producing competitive teams within Lancashire and have managed to win numerous trophies including 20 Senior Football Championships. The club competes at senior, junior and underage levels and has players from each of the 4 Irish provinces as well as having many Manchester-born lads. Based in the Chorlton area of the city's Southern suburbs, St Brendan's has grown from strength to strength in the 5 decades since it was initially founded. The club now has a thriving underage structure as well as being able to attract senior footballers who settle in and around Manchester. After a number of years without notable success on the pitch the St Brendan's club focused on a fresh recruitment drive in the Winter of 2008 in order to put Brendan's back on the map in football in the North West of England. This tactic paid dividends as Brendan's stormed to 2 successes the following season as they became the only club in Manchester to pick up any silver wear. A Pennine-League success has put Brendan's back in the top flight of Senior football in the area, and this was followed up with a successful Wolfe Tone Cup Junior campaign in which Brendan's disposed of Manchester rivals Oisin's and Senior Championship finalists St Peter's. The club followed on from this successful season by adding more talented players with Intercounty experience, and this blend of imported players as well as the productive underage has ensured that Brendan's are now a serious force to be reckoned with again! St Brendan’s intend on building on 2011's county final appearance and 2012's Lancashire Junior Championship win. We would like to welcome any new players that are interested in joining the club. Before our senior lads get their own Championship underway tomorrow, our u13 lads continued their winning start to their Championship with a 4-7 to 1-9 win over John Mitchels today. It was a tough encounter with an excellent John Mitchels team and there is not much between these two teams. Thanks to John Mitchels GAA Liverpool for hosting and the lads will be out in two weeks time again. Good luck to the senior lads tomorrow from all of our youth teams. 👊🇱🇻

We are now in the business end of the season when Champo talk is in the air.

Brendan’s men are kicking off the senior Championship against South Manchester Gael.

The amalgamated side of St. peters and St. Lawrence’s will come together. The sides have been strong in the junior championship this year. It shall be tough of affair the men in maroon and white.

It was the turn of our U15 lads and our u11 lads as our senior team made their way to Glasgow.

St Peter’s had too much for our u15 boys in Round 1 of the Championship as a side made of a lot of younger lads battled to the end but lost out to an excellent St Peter’s team. Congratulations St. Peter's GAA Manchester

Our u11 lads turned out superb performances again after the summer break and they are proving to be a formidable bunch of young footballers. Thanks to St Lawrence’s GAA Club Manchester for their superb hosting at Turn Moss and to the young referees who were brilliant at keeping the games under control.

A huge day for our club today as we had all ages out representing today after our senior lads put in a winning performance against JFK as they prepare for the business end of the season.

We had our little legends at u7 and u9 over at Turn Moss turning on the style.

We had u11 and u15 out training at TMV after the summer break.
We also were delighted to host three rounds of the u13 Lancashire Championship at TMV with St Lawrence’s GAA Club Manchester Oisín GAA Manchester John Mitchels GAA Liverpool and St. Peter's GAA Manchester all visiting TMV. We were delighted that our lads were able to put in an impressive showing beating St Lawrence’s 3-9 0-4.

Also a massive shout out to our club men Sean Jones and Patrick Stenson representing our club for Lancashire GAA u17 at the new centre of excellence at Broughton Park with the added honour of Sean captaining the team.

🏆 SENIOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Full Time | St Brendan’s 1-13 Wolfe Tones 0-05

St Brendan’s are Senior League Champions once again! 🇱🇻

After taking a 0-06 to 0-03 lead into half-time, the lads produced a controlled and clinical second-half display to pull away and retain the Senior League trophy with a convincing 1-13 to 0-05 victory.

Captain Sean Kelly led from the front and grabbed the game’s only goal, while Nic Turkington kept the scoreboard moving from placed balls, converting a number of important frees, including some valuable two-pointers.

It was a true team performance, with hard work, discipline and composure across the pitch helping St Brendan’s finish the job in style and secure another league title.

Congratulations to the players, management and everyone who has supported the team throughout the campaign.
