Ladies Only Sunset Social Cycle Ride
As part of our Cycling UK rides we are proud to deliver a LADIES ONLY social ride

Thursday 10th September 7-8pm

A 4 mile off-road, flat cycle ride.

Ride into the sunset with us on a FREE sociable beginners ride.

Lead by volunteer Beth, this is a friendly easy cycle ride for all abilities.

Meet in Victoria Park by the Paddling Pool at 7pm.

Ride to Warwick Castle View Point on Banbury Road Bridge for sunset views and back to Victoria Park.

Please bring your bike lights, it will be getting dark on the return journey.

We had a day of records yesterday for Cycle Infinity CIC .

Firstly coach Simon was over at Coventry Canal BCanalteaching adults to ride for Coventry city council where over 2 sessions between 9am and 1pm, he taught 5 adults to ride, (a new record) all of whom had never ridden before, very satisfying!!

Then, we had a stall at EcoFest in the Pump Room Gardens, Leamington Spa where our mechanic extraordinaire Gary held our Dr Bike service which was funded by Royal Leamington Spa Town Council fund, over the coutse of the day Gary fixed 17 bikes, (a new record!), Thats 17 people that can now ride their bikes knowing they are safe which might otherwise have been left at the back of the shed!

Lastly after coach Simon finished at Coventry he got over to the stall where we had our now famous cycle skills zone set up.

Even as he was setting it up, people were starting to queue up to have a go, and from 1.30pm to 5.15pm it never stopped, just in a few hours hundreds of attempts (a new record) by children and adults, all trying their best to get round the course which included tight turns, a balance beam, humps and a see saw.
Some had 1 go, some had multiple goes, each time getting better and better with coaching points given along the way to help.

We took lots of enquiries so we'll be getting in touch in the coming days to follow up on them and a massive thank you to Beth Purdue for manning the stall in the morning.

Great to see Royal Leamington Spa Mayor Cllr Sarah Boad, Cllr McAllister, Cllr Nicki Scott - Warwick Greens, Mayor of Kenilworth Alison Insley - Councillor for Kenilworth St John's Town and many others, sorry I didn't get a chance to speak to you all.

We are just setting up at EcoFest in the Pump Room Gardens, Leamington Spa.

Come and visit us when it opens at 10am (we are stand G10, next to Cycleways Kenilworth, Leamington & Warwick and Action 21 (2010) Ltd ), we have a Dr Bike service (which is fully booked) and later this afternoon coach Simon will have our now famous cycle skills zone in action.

We have a few different sized bikes and helmets to use or you can use your own.

Its going to be a lovely day!!!

Does your child know how to ride?......... Yes?
But are they a confident rider?
Cycle Infinity CIC are proud to offer a cycle skills improver course.

This course (starting on Monday 7th September at 5pm at Vitsœ who generously allow us to use their land - next to Morrisons Supermarket in Leamington Spa) is perfect for those new to pedalling or lacking in confidence. Running for 4 weeks with one hour sessions each week, it’s limited to a maximum of 8 participants. Coach Simon will guide riders through more advanced cycling skills to help them become more competent and confident. We’ll set up specific routes to teach certain techniques and use equipment to help hone skills. The sessions are fun, with games and challenges included. There’s no lower age limit (as long as they can ride), but riders must be under 16 years old.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her four week course with Simon. His careful guidance and infectious enthusiasm for cycling make for an entertaining and informative space for kids to learn. This has been transformative for my daughter who really struggled with confidence in her cycling before the course, now she can do ramps! Couldn't recommend highly enough. 10/10.

Exciting news for The Bicycle Bus which sits under the umbrella of Cycle Infinity CIC, keep your fingers crossed!

EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!!

We had a brilliant start to the Bank Holiday weekend when we received an email to tell us that The Bicycle Bus has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Stratford Herald Business and Tourism awards in the Community Hero catergory.

As many of you know we have been busily setting up Bicycle Buses in Stratford Upon Avon with the help of Stratford Town Trust and Michael B Clifford for a year or two now and are on course to have an initiative set up at every primary school in the town (5 out of 8 so far) which we believe will be a first in the UK!

From what I have seen so far the competition is tough, so just to be shortlisted is a huge achievement and we feel honoured to be in such company.

The awards ceremony is in mid October so keep your fingers crossed for us!

Less than a week to go till our next cycle skills improver session, starting on Monday 7th September at 5pm.

Especially designed for those that have recently learnt to ride or are lacking a little in confidence, over 4 weeks, 1 hour per week Coach Simon teaches more advanced skills making the participants more competent and confident riders.

WHAT A DAY!!!!

It didn't go completely as planned, but about 100 of us rolled out ahead of The Women's Tour The Tour Of Britain in Royal Leamington Spa Town Centre , then a small group were presented on stage to a big crowd in Pump Room Gardens .

We had bubbles, we had music, we had flags and we made lots of noise!!!

There were lots of people watching along the start/finish straight and hopefully we have some a light on the movement in general and more importantly, the kids experienced something that will last with them for a lifetime!

Thank you to all the officers in Warwickshire County Council that made it possible and who helped to solve problems on what must have been a stressful day.

And thank you to all the families that turned up! You've definitely put The Bicycle Bus on the map 📍

Yesterday, it was a Cycle Infinity CIC double bill at the Orchard Festival in Cannon Hill Park in Coventry.

Our mechanic extraordinaire Gary was operating our Dr Bike service where he fixed 9 bikes and Coach Simon held our cycle skills zone which included tight turns, stop box, humps, balance ramp and see saw.

This obviously proved popular because from start to finish it was never quiet, approx 40 to 50 people took well over 200 runs at it, each time with some coaching points making them better, more accomplished and quicker.

Everyone really enjoyed it and said how much fun it was!

Children who cycle to school to lead out Lloyds Tour of Britain Women race in Leamington
