We’re already full send into 2021! 🚀
The #1 highlight of 2020?
Has to be working with our amazing team of Aura athletes 💘 it may have been a rollercoaster year without too much racing action, but we certainly grew together, using the time in our favour to find what works for each individual athlete, & trying a few new things that ordinarily would be a little trickier. So proud of the resilience everyone has shown.
Also so pleased the socially distanced swim analysis sessions worked a treat throughout 2020 🧜‍♀️ run at both Dosthill Quarry + local pools.
The gains in strength endurance we’ve seen 🤩 have been so rewarding & a constant reminder of why I love my job. I love to push myself to continuously develop as a coach; learning, absorbing & carefully applying new approaches, theories, & periodisation methods when relevant - adapting to our athletes’ range of ability & physiology - no athlete is the same & that’s what I love! 🦄 ...when you witness confidence growing in athletes & the results showing from consistent, smart & committed training, there’s no feeling like it!
2021 is already in full flight & set to be 🔥

Over summer we have lovingly developed a full suite of beautiful Aura training & racing kit with the amazing Nopinz team; available to all coached athletes 💜 (...easy ordering at any time of the year through the online club shop, too!). The quality is unreal, all handmade in the UK, & the aero gainz are 🤯 ...also now available on the Aura kit list are cosy hoodies & jazzy swim caps - that we’ve lived in since they arrived in July! Good quality, comfy & reliable kit makes a difference to your enjoyment of training for sure 🥰

BDCA 100mile TT update.

Jade Anstis (pictured) writes:

Unfortunately I didn't get the PB I was after (3mins off last year's time of 4:26, & went in with a target of 4:20), but very pleased to hit PB watts for the distance, finishing 2nd senior female which was a lovely surprise too. My husband Ralph had an excellent race & hit his awesome target of dipping under 4 hours with a 3:58! The wind was tough heading out, & there were a couple of times we got hung up at the pedestrian crossing lights, but other than that it was a brilliant day on the bike for us both!

Congratulations to member Jade Anstis (pictured at the event with partner Ralph), who won the Senior Female category in the Leamington Cycling and Athletics Club Open TT on Sunday. Jade is doing well lately, as this win follows closely on from her collective Fastest Ladies Team win along with Frances Lammyman and Helene Wright, in the Eileen Sheridan Open TT.
