Nobody warns you that the goal can arrive and the feeling cannot.

You build the business, hit the number, and wait to feel the way you always assumed you would. When it doesn’t come, the instinct is to aim higher. Rarely does anyone stop to ask whether they were aiming in the right direction in the first place.

Six years ago I would not have believed this is where I would be standing. Nothing changed on the outside, I simply stopped believing a limit my fear told me I should never test.

If there is something you have quietly decided is not for you, it may be worth walking up to that wall to see if it holds. It usually moves.
