🇬🇧British Rowing Masters Championship🇬🇧

A fantastic weekend of racing with Ross crews bringing home a full set of medals!

Starting off strong on Saturday in fierce cross-head winds, with stake boats abandoned part way through the day.

🥉 Masters D Lightweight 1x was a close race with Ross taking home a Bronze

🥈 Masters D 2x was a Composite crew with Greenbank Rowing club securing a silver.

🥉 Women’s Masters D 2x resulting in a bronze for the ladies

🥈Women’s Intermediate O36 4+ narrowly missed out on gold by just one second to Bristol Ariel RC.

Sunday brought much calmer conditions and more success:

🥇Masters D 2- saw Ross bring home a gold in a thrilling final, taking victory by just 0.08 seconds!

👏 Masters G 4+, finishing 4th in a tightly contested final.

👏Masters G 2-, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

👏 Intermediate 65+ 1x. finished a creditable 5th

🏅 Final medal tally for Ross:
🥇 1 Gold
🥈 1 Silver
🥉 1 Bronze

That’s a wrap 🚣‍♀️🎉

Our first Learn 2 Row cohort of 2026 is done and what an amazing group they’ve been.

Just a month ago, none of these rowers had stepped into a boat. Fast forward and some of them have done their first race managing to come home with a win 🏆

And back on home water everyone was out rowing confidently in fine boats, which is an incredible achievement in such a short amount of time.

It’s been brilliant to watch everyone progress so quickly and throw themselves into it with such enthusiasm.

If you fancy a summer of good fun, great views, and a nice tan ☀️ our next Learn 2 Row course starts 13th June.

A great day out at Evesham Regatta yesterday for Ross Rowing Club 🚣‍♂️☀️🌧️

Starting off strong with 2 wins 💪🚣‍♂️

Op Mas C/D 2x was won by Gareth & George S 🏆
WMas D 2x was won by Bron & George G 🏆

We then had George and Mike in their singles making it through to the finals, but sadly not quite getting the win this time but good effort by both.

Finishing off the day with the ladies taking on their first ever W4x+ Low CRI , coxed by Rachel. A straight final, didn’t get the win, but a strong first outing and plenty to build on 🚣‍♀️👏

Busy weekend at Ross Rowing Club 🚣☀️

We started things off with our monthly quiz night, with around 50 people joining us for a great evening of fun, laughs, and friendly competition 🧠🎉

Saturday saw our new rowers taking part in capsize drills, gaining confidence on the water 🌊 Meanwhile, our senior crews made the most of the sunshine with a strong outing on the river ☀️🚣

Great to see the club busy both on and off the water this weekend 🙌
