STATEMENT FROM CAMBRIAN WELFARE RFC
To all players, members, supporters and friends of Cambrian Welfare RFC,
We are aware of the statement released on social media yesterday by Cambrian Community Ltd regarding the ongoing situation surrounding the clubhouse.
We are disappointed by a number of the comments and allegations contained within that statement, which we believe unfairly target certain members of our committee on a personal level. We do not feel it would be appropriate to respond to individual allegations publicly or engage in a back-and-forth discussion on social media.
The statement has been passed to the relevant professional advisers, who are reviewing the matters raised and advising us on the appropriate next steps. We will continue to deal with the situation through the proper channels.
We have also seen a significant number of comments on social media, including from individuals who may not be members of CWRFC or regularly involved with the club. Everyone is, of course, entitled to their own opinion, but we would ask people to remember that social media does not always provide the full picture of a situation.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has commented in support of Cambrian Welfare RFC. However, we respectfully ask our players, members and supporters not to make personal or abusive comments about any individual. By all means support and defend the club, but please do so respectfully and responsibly. Personal attacks do not represent the values of CWRFC and are not something we condone.
There are always different sides to any dispute, and not everything written or shared on social media should automatically be taken as fact. We remain confident in dealing with the issues appropriately and will continue working with the relevant people to try to resolve the situation in the best interests of Cambrian Welfare RFC.
For the time being, our focus remains firmly on what matters most — our rugby club, our players, our members and our future.
On a much more positive note, our senior rugby side has enjoyed a fantastic pre-season, winning all three games and producing some excellent rugby. Squad numbers are strong and morale remains extremely high despite everything happening in the background.
We now look forward to the start of the league season and hope to see plenty of you supporting the boys for our first league fixture:
