We are the Rhondda Valley Runners – formed in 1985 by a group of friends from the Rhondda who had a mutual interest in running. We have groups within the club.

If you can run 5K and would like to run with a friendly and supportive group, then send us a message for further details. We are the Rhondda Valley Runners – formed in 1985 by a group of friends from the Rhondda who had a mutual interest in running, some slow, some faster, but the same interest at heart. We currently have a membership of over 60 runners, which has a range of ages, and abilities. W

e are affiliated to the A A W (Athletics Association of Wales) with our club colours for those who race being a red vest with a white “V” on the front and back and white stripe up the sides. Our club runs take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. Group 12: 12-minute mile runners, running 3-4 mile routes. Group 11: 11-minute mile runners, running 5-6 mile routes. Group 10: 10-minute mile runners, running 5-6 mile routes. Group 9: 9-minute mile runners, running 6-8 mile routes. Group 8: 8-minute mile runners, running 6-8 mile routes. If you would like to join our club, please drop us a message and we can send you the membership form to print off, fill in and bring along to training.

PBs galore, and first, a second and 2 third place age group finishes for Jan, Jo, John and Bryan in Ponty

A busy weekend for RVR starting with Jason & John at a VERY muddy Welsh XC in Cardiff

Lliswerry 8: Always a good turn out for the club. 3rd Place 🥉 in the VF50 category for Joanne & a PB to go with it also a first race in RVR colours for Scott.

Celebrating St Dwynwen's Day ❤️ at the Lovespoon run 🥄 as well and another debut in RVR colours for Sara. Congratulations to Jenna on her first marathon.
