Simple Diet And Exercise Habits For Busy People
When life gets harder, your health plan needs to get simpler.
One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is trying to follow the same diet and exercise plan regardless of what’s happening in their life.
When everything is going well, an hour in the gym and perfectly prepared meals might be realistic.
But then work gets busy.
Stress increases.
Sleep suffers.
You’re tired.
And suddenly the plan becomes too difficult to follow.
That’s when people often give up completely.
I’ve learned, both personally and through nearly 30 years of coaching, to do the opposite.
When life gets complicated, simplify your health.
Can’t do your normal workout? Do 15 minutes.
Don’t have time to cook the perfect meal? Have a simple protein-based meal you can prepare in minutes.
Too tired for a hard training session? Walk.
The objective isn’t to maintain the perfect plan.
It’s to maintain the habit.
Because doing something keeps you connected to the behaviours and identity you’re trying to build.
Your best-day plan might produce better results in theory.
But your busy-day plan is often what determines whether you remain consistent in reality.
Simplify. Keep showing up. Maintain the habit. 💪
