Ransomes res 0-2 Redgrave Rangers

Back to winning ways! Not the greatest conditions and the ref certainly played his part. Redgrave started brightly with some really nice interchanges of play. And within minutes Chubbsy was through and fouled. Quick thinking from Louis lowery and a free kick , goal caught them cold 1-0. Redgrave were dominating but the opposition had a couple dangerous breaks. Then when Bettsidinho danced round 4 players and squared to Chubbsy it was inevitable …. 2-0! The rest of the game was very scrappy but Cal TB shone in an otherwise scrappy affair .

Man of the Match. - Cal TB , great performance at left back

Redgrave 2-2 Saxmundham res

After a tough couple of weeks. It was a test of character and to see what the team was made of. Let down again by late call offs but we persevere. After a bright start we ended up conceding a penalty. Lee unlucky not to stop the chance and got 2 hands to it. It was a strange rest of the half. Again at the start of the second half we were the better side. But one corner came from the opposition and 2-0 down. We needed to dig deep. Joe bush who had been outstanding picked up a second ball and scored! 2-1. The rain came down and Redgrave kept pushing. We had free kicks , corner after corner. Chance after chance and then the ball dropped on a crowded penalty area and Adam Coulter slotted home the equaliser. 2-2. The home side didn’t let up and had the chances to win the game but no luck. Finished 2-2.

Man of the match today - Joe Bush

Benhall 2-2 Redgrave

A great comeback and show of character from a team that had been through the ringer of late. Redgrave welcomed a new recruit into the ranks of Nathan Ireland, a big welcome to you!

A sloppy start saw Redgrave 2 down after 15 minutes and it looked like it maybe another tough afternoon. However , the lads never gave up and really dug in. A scrappy goal just before half time got us back in the game. It was disputed who actually scored …. Cal Hewitt seemed claim. The second half down hill, Redgrave just did not let up. And eventually wonder ball from Jay Rose at centre half headed home from Tyler Matthews saw the comeback complete.

Man of the match - Sam Church, so much energy really drove the team when we needed it

Redgrave 2-1 Stowupland Res

A tough afternoon at home to a Stowupland side that were galvanised by the fact there was no manager and only 11 players. The home side started poorly and could not get things going. The away side took the initiative and went 1-0 up. It look off side and the Lino did flag it but the goal stood. A few home truths and changes at half time saw the tide turn and Redgrave won a penalty. Mitch smashed into the top bin…….. goooooood pen. 1-1. Redgrave then went on the attack and soon made it 2-1 with a great strike from Jay Rose. The lads on form from centre back.

Man of the match- Dan Betts. Picked up after the break and ran the midfield. This made him very tired 🤣🤣🤣

Redgrave 2-1 Kesgrave Res

A repeat of the last game of the previous season. Both teams had a good opening weekend last week and look set to battle it out again. The home side started well without creating many clear cut chances. Plenty of corners but no end result. It seemed it would be a game of patience. And 1 minute before the break a long throw from Tyler bounced into the box for Adam Coulter to slot home 1-0!

We came out in the second in control again but missing a lot of chances that came our way. Then we gave away a free kick in the 89th minute and Kesgrave equalised and it seemed that we had thrown the game away. However, pure persistence with comers and set pieces paid off as Steve Tubby knocked in the corner and Joe bush popped up in the 90 + 3 minutes with the winner!!!! 2-1!! A big result at the start of the season.

Man of the match - Joe bush, outstanding at right back today. Was a threat going forward and got the winner well deserved! Thank you to Dan Betts for stepping up and going in goal today as well
