A title decider played out at Redgrave this weekend with two teams locked on points and ready to pounce on the title. A Cagey affair saw Redgrave go 1-0 to the good with a free kick and a header from Kai Hines which ended up causing trouble for the defender and goalkeeper 1-0. Kesgrave had a lot of the ball but the bus stood firm. Second half Redgrave were soaking up the pressure and going on the break and from a resulting corner Kai headed home a second. Kesgrave pulled one back with an outstanding strike but the red and blacks held out and Redgrave win division 4. Champions !!!!

Business end of the season and with Kesgrave on a significantly better goal difference the boys needed to get a few goals today and so we did. From start to finish Redgrave were the better team. Mitch with 5 , Millsy with 2 , Aaron day with 2, Joe Bush and Denny Robles with a goal a piece and an og rounded off the goals12-0.

We take things not the last game of the season next Saturday.

Redgrave 4-1 Coplestonians

A scorcher of a day out there, not the easiest of conditions. And with a few missing the team needed to come together and show the depth of the squad. With a slow start Redgrave found themselves 1-0 down. With tensions running high Jay rose above everyone in the box to header home the equaliser. Redgrave were then on top and a couple minutes later we won a penalty after some great play from Jordy. Jay stepped up but no luck . Then Jordy broke through one on one with the keeper and did a one two with the crossbar before heading home 2-1. Second half saw the introduction of Ian Mac for his final appearance before heading back to the states, instantly the combination between Jordy , Ian and then Aaron day worked a treat with A day slotting home. Jordy then added a second to round off a great performance 4-1.

Redgrave 4-0 Cockfield res

A great performance all round this week. Started brightly with a lot of pressing and desire. Started with a new formation and we reaped the rewards . First half goals from Chubbsy x2 and Mitch (captain fantastic). Second half we were very much in control. Betts marshalling the midfield . Then with the changes we had a combined age of 169 we still looked dangerous! Arun Lucraft with a great run , bought down in the box. Tubby steps up……….. no mistake 4-0.

Redgrave 2-0 Saxmundham Res

Back at home today for the reverse fixture from last week. After losing 1-0 the week before the boys had a lot to prove. And prove they did. Some really nice football at times and great combinations between Chubbsy , Ian, Jordy and Cal TB. Ian Mac then got down the wing to slot home the first. Chubbsy got the bar with an adventurous shot from distance. A few minutes later Ian then doubled the lead with a drilled effort from wide. The second half was a tough one against the wind but the defence held out. B-rad leading by example and energy. Ryan Mac made some outstanding saves too one from point blank.
