SUNS OUT, TEAMS OUT ☀️📰

It's a scorcher of a day and what more could you want than the prospect of a cricket filled weekend. The 1st XI are at Home to Great Bromley and the 2nd XI are at "Home" (at East Harling) to Ipswich & East Suffolk II.

The bar will be open, the Test Match and World Cup will be on the TV too, so come and join us tomorrow afternoon.

AT THE DOUBLE 🫡✌️

Two games on both Saturday and Sunday coming up this weekend.

‼️The Saturday fixture list says that both teams are at home this weekend. These are the fixtures that are given to us by the league which we have a limited amount of control over. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find a hidden second pitch at Walsham, so the 2nd XI will be playing their "Home" game at East Harling.

TOP PERFORMERS 🔝🏏

The Riddings lead the way with the bat this weekend as son Tom made his first 1st XI half century of the season on Saturday and dad Luke came within a whisker of matching the achievement in the Sunday XI win yesterday. Jamie White also came close as he made his highest score of the season so far for the 1st XI.

With the ball, Mark Rothon's 4fer for the Sunday XI was the pick of the bunch which included two wickets in his first two balls and was closely followed by George Macrae's 4 wicket haul in the same game. Skipper Steve Moulton landed his best figures of the season so far as he picked up three valuable wickets for the 1st XI.

A first win as skipper for Tom Ridding and his Sunday XI this afternoon and it was a comfortable 9 wicket victory to round off a big weekend.

The Sun XI round off a big weekend of cricket at Summer Road this afternoon.

The 1st XI chase yesterday ran out of steam and the 2nd XI game was called off due to an unplayable pitch so a first league win of the season for the Sunday XI would be a welcome end to the weekend. Bar will be open as usual.
