⛳️ Hole 15 – A tough par 3!

The 15th at Cleveland is a hole that demands accuracy and concentration from the tee.

With run-off areas short, left and right, finding the putting surface is no easy task. There is a backstop long, though, so a little luck can sometimes work in your favour! 🤞

And once you’re on the green, the challenge doesn’t get any easier. One of the slopiest greens on the course means reading the putt carefully and staying focused is essential.

Today is all about recognising the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our course looking and playing its best.

From early mornings to long days in all weathers, our greenkeeping team put in an incredible amount of work to maintain Cleveland’s championship links and make sure it’s ready for our members, visitors and competitions. 🌿🏌️‍♂️

So, if you see one of our greenkeepers today, make sure you give them a big thank you! 🙌

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team looking after our course. ❤️

🏆 Off the back of our Open Week, take a look at more winners at Cleveland our latest blog! ⛳️

It’s been a fantastic few weeks at Cleveland, with plenty to celebrate both on and off the course.

Our latest blog, “A Month of Wins: Cleveland Golf Club’s Championship Pedigree”, takes a look at some of the incredible achievements from golfers associated with the club — from Archie Palmer’s win at the Carnoustie Junior Open and former Cleveland Salver winner Jack Whaley becoming US Amateur Champion, to Yorkshire Boys’ County Championship success and Andrew Robinson winning our Club Championship.

We also look back at our recent hosting of the North Yorkshire & South Durham Championships and what these achievements say about Cleveland’s proud championship pedigree.

🏆 What a brilliant Open Week at Cleveland! ⛳️

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish off our Open Week, with Mark Payne being presented with the Mayor’s Cup by Lady Mayor Ceri Cawley on Monday evening after beating Alex Wiggins in the final.

The Mayor’s Cup knockout qualifiers were Mark Payne, Alex Wiggins, Paul Tunstall and Richard Brown — congratulations to all four on making it through! 👏

There were plenty of other fantastic performances throughout the week:
🏌️ Saturday Medal Qualifier – Best Gross: Neil Russell
👥 Three-Man Team Event: P. Grainger, S. Morten & P. Heathcock
⛳ Mixed Open Texas Scramble: J. Herron, S. Herron, M. Harper & M. Harper
🏌️‍♂️ Gents 4BBB Open: N. Brown & R. Brown
🏌️‍♀️ Ladies Scramble: A. Boak, S. Newby, J. Jones & E. Atkinson

It’s been a brilliant few days at Cleveland, with lots of new and familiar faces visiting the club and enjoying some great golf.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported our events and helped make Open Week such a success.
