Mizuno’s M13 and M15 irons have arrived at Cleveland and are available for fitting now.

The M13 replaces the Pro423 and M15 replaces the Pro425. Both models offer Mizuno’s forged feel while offering forgiveness and distance. Combined with the latest N.S.Pro Zelos 7 lightweight shafts the new models offer enhanced flight, decent and distance figures for golfers of all levels.

There’s a new fairway finder in my bag today, the Callaway Elyte Mini driver. At 13.5* of loft your first thought will be “I’ll hit it way too high especially at Cleveland“ but with a shorter, 65g mid launch shaft I hit the launch angle number of 12.7* and a spin rate of just 2000rpm. With these figures my carry was over 225 yards running out to 235 yards which for an aging unfit club pro is pretty good, more importantly it flew arrow straight which for me is the reason it’s in my bag.

Here are a few pictures from Pros Day on Saturday just gone. It was the annual Yellow Ball event with 50 teams raising to the stressful 4 hours of nurturing the yellow hot potato to the hole on the last green.

The team of Andrew Fitzhugh, Anna Williams and Tracey Clarvis were the winners with 120 points and also defended their title from last year.

Striking the ball correctly allows the loft of the club to hit the ball the height you desire. Chris here is looking to upgrade her sand/lob wedge and was trying out the latest Cleveland RTZ mode. When she watched the video she was amazed how quickly the ball lifted.
