Redcar Town Game of Tournaments Cup Finalists 🏅2️⃣ nd place ⚽️🥅💙🤍💙!!

After loosing our first Game of the day to Marton Whites the boys made a huge come back! Working hard and going on to win the remaining 4 games in the group stage putting them Top of the table and straight into the semi! ... up against the brilliant Whitby Fishermen our boys dug in deep and kept a clean sheet taking it to penalties for a place in the final 🥅💙
Winning 2-1 on penalties we once again saw Marton Whites for the Final! The game was tough at 1 all in torrential rain and a close call with Marton scoring in the last minute of the game for the win⚽️ .. well deserved 👏

We are immensely proud of these boys with the commitment they are showing us and beyond happy with finishing second in a tournament with such a high standard of football⚽️💙

🏆🏆🎉 CHAMPIONS 🎉🏆🏆
Wow, what an unforgettable day for the boys at Elland Road, Leeds!
Representing Redcar and the whole of Teesside in the Play on the Pitch tournament, the lads battled hard for a crucial 1-0 win in their first group game, followed by a 4-0 victory in their second match and a 4-1 win in the final game!❤️
Outstanding performances from every player, including goals from Oscar (who scored a stunning overhead kick!), Archie and Jacob, ensured Redcar Town finished top of the table, setting up a semifinal match, which they won 2-0!⚽️🎉
In a tense, but thrilling 0-0 final, Redcar held their nerve to come out on top in the penalty shootout, winning 7-6 to be crowned champions! 🏆🥇
The victory came after a long, hard day, where the lads demonstrated great skill, patience and determination across the pitch. A massive thank you to our outstanding coaches, Nathan and Artur, our sponsors, PACS Marine Engineering Ltd and The Claxton Hotel, and of course to our wonderful parents, who endured nail-biting tension and didn’t get home till midnight! Boro legend, Brian Clough was no doubt smiling down on the lads at Elland Road. They showed great team spirit, skill and discipline, and they won it fair.⚽️🏆🎉

What a beautiful day for a Sunday tournament at Bridlington. The boys did a fantastic job, their work rate was off the charts. There was 21 teams and we came 2nd in the entire tournament. We are very proud of the team on what they have achieved in the past two years and we couldn’t be more proud of them. From coming 4th last year to 2nd this year is a huge improvement and we are confident for the future that we will keep improving to become better than this year which again has been phenomenal. What a game for the boys on Sunday, first time playing in the new away kit sponsored by PACs Marine.
First 15 minutes we were struggling on the pitch with it being very boggy, but once we got used to it the boys played some unreal football.
Going into half time, winning 3-0.
The 2nd half we put our running shoes on and the score finished 7-1.

Another brilliant result yesterday for the boys, we struggled at first with the wind but battled through, also without subs.
All boys put in a really good shift.
The first 15 minutes we struggled against a very good team in Hartlepool, after a goal from Oscar we found our feet in the game and started playing.
Half time we went in at 1-1 but the 2nd half we were like a complete different team.
The first few minutes of the 2nd half, brilliant cross from Jacob which was finished perfectly by Joseph which made it 2-1.
We like to give a big shout out to our goalkeeper, Cooper, without him in the 2nd half we would have lost that game after a few massive saves and also a big well done to our MOTM Charlie, he worked very hard on the left hand side, unreal game.
