🐏 Cameron the Ram!

✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Cameron James from Maldon & Tiptree, where he won the Players and supporters player of the Year award.

📈 A versatile player who is comfortable playing in both defence and midfield, James joins the Rams having helped the Essex side gain promotion from the Isthmian League North last season.

ℹ️ Prior to this, James captained Chelmsford City, where he stayed for five years. He started his career at Colchester United, having experienced loan spells at Braintree Town, Welling United and Maidstone United.

🔴⚪ RAMSGATE FC LEGENDS XI ANNOUNCEMENT ⚪🔴

Our final additions to the Ramsgate Legends squad to face Manchester United Legends on Sunday 26th July are a pair of full-backs from very different eras of the club's history.

We're delighted to welcome Andy Hadden from the side promoted in 2006 and Rory Deacon from our most recent promotion-winning team.

Both were fan favourites in their own way. Andy was renowned for his commitment, energy and work rate, whilst Deacs was one of the most creative players to wear a Ramsgate shirt in recent years, registering an incredible 28 assists during the 2024/25 promotion-winning campaign.

There are so many great players from our past who deserve recognition, and it's a shame we couldn't invite everyone to be involved on the pitch. However, we would love to see as many former players as possible at Southwood on 26th July so that their contribution to the club can be recognised and celebrated.

The day promises to be a special occasion as we bring together players from different generations of Ramsgate Football Club to take on Manchester United Legends.

🔴⚪ RAMSGATE FC LEGENDS XI ANNOUNCEMENT ⚪🔴

Next up we have a couple of heroes from Ramsgate's Kent League title-winning side of 2000.

We're delighted to confirm that Martin James and Russell Wilson will be pulling on a Ramsgate shirt once again as part of our Legends XI against Manchester United Legends on Sunday 26th July.

The pair were key members of the side that delivered success at the turn of the century, with Ada returning to the dugout to reunite with some of the players from that memorable era.

There are some other great figures from Ramsgate's past in this photograph who will evoke fantastic memories for many supporters. Teams like these helped build the foundations for the club we know today and it's only right that they are recognised and celebrated.

We look forward to welcoming Martin, Russ and many other familiar faces back to Southwood Stadium for what promises to be a special occasion.

🔴⚪ RAMSGATE FC LEGENDS XI ANNOUNCEMENT ⚪🔴

Next up are some of the heroes from Ramsgate's Isthmian South East title-winning side of 20 years ago.

We're delighted to confirm that Simon Pettit, Liam Morris, James Gregory and Shaun Welford will all be representing the Ramsgate Legends against Manchester United Legends on Sunday 26th July.

That title-winning squad remains one of the most fondly remembered in the club's history, packed with talented players and big personalities who helped deliver success for the Rams.

There are some other great players in this photo that supporters will remember very fondly. One who unfortunately won't be able to join us is Stuart Vahid, who is still carrying the effects of the knee injury he suffered in the FA Vase Quarter Final all those years ago. Those who watched him that season will remember a player at the very peak of his powers. In the form he was in, he looked capable of winning that game on his own.

We're also hoping to see one or two trademark Simon Pettit long throws for old times' sake!

We look forward to welcoming Simon, Liam, James and Shaun back to Southwood for what promises to be a fantastic day celebrating Ramsgate FC's history.

Next up are a couple of forwards who, despite playing in different eras, would surely have made a formidable strike partnership.

We're delighted to announce that Dean Bowey and Matty Adams will both be representing the Ramsgate FC Legends against Manchester United Legends on Sunday 26th July.

Both players thrilled Southwood supporters with their goals, commitment and memorable performances, becoming fan favourites during their time at the club.

It's exciting to think what they might have achieved playing alongside each other in their prime, and supporters will now get the chance to see them in the same Ramsgate side.

A commanding centre-half and a huge part of one of the most memorable periods in the club's history, Joe will forever be remembered by Rams supporters for his performance in that famous FA Cup First Round victory over Woking at Southwood Stadium.

Strong in the air, tough in the tackle and a true leader on the pitch, Joe was a player every team wanted alongside them.

And it got us thinking... what a centre-back partnership Joe Ellul and Olly Schulz would have made!

We're delighted to welcome Joe back for this special occasion and look forward to seeing him pull on a Ramsgate shirt once again.
