A long overdue thank you to St. Lawrence Bowls Club! 🌿

Members from our Ramsgate Hub gardening group recently visited the club to present the money they’d raised for East Kent Mencap.

We’re so grateful to St Lawrence BC for their support – your generosity helps us continue offering meaningful activities and opportunities for people with a learning disability across East Kent.

St Lawrence took 20 of us to Potters Five Lakes last week and had a great time, playing bowls, doing quizzes and other activities, also celebrating Darren’s 40th. We also had a team win the bowls who will return in December for Champions of Champions.

A huge thank you to the members of St. Lawrence Bowls Club, who treated our volunteer gardening group to a wonderful party with presents and delicious food! 🩷

We’d also like to thank the Ale House for their year-long fundraising collaboration. A member of the bowls club is their quiz master, and together they have raised funds for us every week through quiz nights.

We can’t thank these amazing supporters enough – they make such a meaningful difference to our members and our community. 🩷

Our journey at the National Championships has come to an end with a defeat in the Quarter Final.

But what a journey it has been. To reach this stage is a fantastic achievement, and every single one of the lads has done the club proud. Their effort, commitment and team spirit have been outstanding throughout, and they represented us with true pride on the national stage.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who has supported the team along the way — from those cheering at the green to all the messages of encouragement from home.

We may not be going further this year, but reaching the Nationals is something very special, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’ll be aiming to do it all over again next season.

What a fantastic day for St Lawrence!

We’re so proud of the team who stepped in for the Cox Cup this morning—just missing out on the final after a hard-fought semi. Their effort and commitment are outstanding.

And the highlight of the day: our Top Club team played brilliantly in the final and came away with the win!

St Lawrence is heading to Leamington, and we couldn’t be more pleased. A huge thank you to everyone who played, supported, and helped make today so special.

Lovely day at Cobham Bowls Club today, is there a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than a few drinks and a friendly in the sunshine. Also a thank you to Ramsgate and Broadstairs Sea Cadets for their generous loan of mini bus.
