🚗✈️🚂 All aboard for a sensory adventure! 🌈

Our Baby & Toddler Sensory Session was full of music, movement and imagination as we set off on a travel-themed journey! We climbed into our cars, rowed along together, chugged like trains and finished with lots of giggles on a trip through the car wash! 🚗🫧

These fun, interactive activities help little ones develop communication, coordination and confidence, while creating special moments for grown-ups and children to enjoy together. 💙

Make and decorate some fairy cakes with your little ones whilst we do the clearing up at our fabulous cookery session this weekend.

We also have a fantastic ALN session with a calmer environment, sensory equipment and lights.

🚗 We fully support measures that genuinely improve road safety, but have the wider impacts of these proposals been fully considered?

After measuring the proposed yellow lines, we found that approximately 34 metres of parking could be removed from a stretch of road that is already in continual use by residents, staff, volunteers and visitors.

Since opening in 2018, Role Play Lane has welcomed over 47,000 visits, supports almost 300 ALN families, employs 13 staff, and provides volunteering, work experience and Life Skills opportunities.

Parking isn’t just a convenience. For many families, staff and volunteers, it’s essential for safe and accessible access to the building.

Come and join our lovely ALN session, with limited numbers, calm music and soft lighting, as well as our sensory items and lights.

During this session, Meinir Evans from Endeavour Law will be available to chat with parent & carers about issues that affect them and their families, helping to make important information available at an early stage.

Topics may include:

• Protecting your estate and ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place if a child or adult child may not have the capacity to manage financial or property matters independently.

• The importance of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) and ensuring trusted people have the authority to act on your behalf if you are unable to do so.

• Estate planning options that can help families avoid unnecessary legal complications and support long-term financial security.

• The transition from child to adult services, including care fees and the challenges that can arise when a young person becomes legally recognised as an adult but still relies on parental advocacy and support.

• Planning for the future, including considering who would make decisions and act in a child's best interests should parents no longer be able to do so.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, discuss individual circumstances and gain a better understanding of the options available.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for families, particularly those with ALN to access a range of outdoor workshops to enhance wellbeing.

We need a little favour from families of 5 year olds and under…please could you complete the questionnaire to tell us what the barriers of accessing nature activities are.
