Who could believe we've been going for 5 years?! 😮

None of this would be possible without the support of our amazing coach, Alana

Who has not only been there every step of the way, but has also proven time and time again that she's willing to go the extra mile to see the team grow and succeed

We would also like to thank Wales Rugby League - Rygbi Cynghrair Cymru for including us in their development invitational league, allowing us to compete with other teams on the same level as us

Without this experience, we wouldn't have known where our strengths and weaknesses were, allowing us to improve our game plan

Also to University of South Wales (Pontypridd) for hosting our training sessions and our home fixtures, without this venue we wouldn't be able to train to the best of our abilities

And finally, a massive thank you to all of our players, supporters, and fans, as without you, none of this would have been possible

How do you score in wheelchair rugby league? 🤔

Our sport mirrors the running game as close as possible, just with a few adjustments to accommodate the wheelchairs and our players.

Points can be added to the board by -
👉 Scoring a try (4 points)
The player can ground the ball over the try line (if they are able to), or if they are classed as a limited movement player, they can tap their wheel once it's over the try line

👉 Convert a try (2 points)
Just like the rugby you know and love, a try can then be converted for extra points by "kicking" it over the crossbar. This is done using a kicking tee, and punting the ball (which is what the picture shows).

👉 Drop goal (1 point)
While the game is still being played, a player can drop the ball onto the floor and kick (punt) it just as it bounces up. If it goes between the posts and above the crossbar, it's a drop goal.

👉 Penalty goal (2 points)
If the other team breaks the rules, the referee might award a penalty. Instead of taking the ball and carrying on, a team can choose to kick at the posts. If the kick goes between the posts and above the crossbar, they score.
