⚫🔴 FULL-TIME | NON POL 6–2 PENYDARREN ⚽

The boys welcomed Penydarren for our latest home game looking for a response to the defeat against Ynysybwl 3 days previous, with injuries such as Jayden Granelli, Jacob Sully & Coran Clarke hitting the squad we knew we were in for a tough game.

Penydarren came flying out of the blocks giving us no space to play and put us under a lot of pressure for the first 25 minutes without creating too many clear cut opportunities.

The boys settled into the game and got to grips with the level and quality of opposition they were facing and started to move the ball quicker, our first goal came from a cracking diagonal ball from Gowen who found Reidy who slotted away with a brilliant first time finish. Penydarren hit back with a counter attack goal and then found themselves 2-1 up with a well worked set piece, the boys hit back straight away with another brilliant goal, this time Ashley Williams providing the diagonal ball into Dylan to score.

The second half continued to be open with Non pol creating the better opportunities but this game was always going to boil down to who got the 3rd goal, a cracking save from Nifty at 2-2 gave the boys the platform to move forward and we got our deserved 3rd when Finley Williams squared for Dylan to score his 3rd of the afternoon, Penydarren then started to chase the game and that gave the boys the opportunity to hit 3 quick counter attack goals to give us a 6-2 win.

Match Report: Greyhound Cup Round 1 ❤️🖤
Full Time: Rhydyfelin Non-Pol FC 2 – 3 Ynysybwl FC

The lads welcomed Ynysybwl to the Non-Pol ground on Wednesday evening for Round 1 of the Greyhound Cup, eager to maintain our strong start to the campaign.

From the opening whistle, Rhydyfelin took control of the tempo, moving the ball sharply and creating a sustained series of high-quality chances. Despite testing the visitors' goalkeeper repeatedly, Ynysybwl held firm to keep the scores level at 0–0 heading into the break.

The second half began in similar fashion as we pressed forward, but a clinical counter-attack saw Ynysybwl take the lead. The boys showed tremendous character to respond quickly and level the match, but a rapid second and third goal from the visitors on the break left us chasing the game at 1–3.

Refusing to back down, the team pushed until the final whistle, pulling one back to make it 2–3 and creating several clear-cut opportunities that came agonisingly close to a deserved equaliser. Unfortunately, time ran out, and our cup run comes to an end after a fiercely contested cup tie.

A sincere congratulations to Ynysybwl FC on a disciplined, resilient defensive performance, especially their goalkeeper who pulled off a string of incredible saves to keep his side ahead. We wish them the best of luck in the next round of the cup.

🔴 FULL TIME: RHYDYFELIN NON-POL FC RESERVES 10 - 2 YNYSYBWL FC RESERVES 🔴
What a performance and what a response from the lads at The Dungeon today in our TERV League Division 1 clash!

Coming off the back of two disappointing defeats, we were determined to get back to winning ways. Despite the thunderstorms and torrential rain, the pitch remained rock hard. We had hoped to start on the front foot, but Ynysybwl had other ideas early on, opening the scoring with a wonderful strike to put us 1-0 down.

Full credit to the boys, who didn't let the early setback faze them one bit. We quickly settled, got the ball down, and began completely controlling the tempo. Just after the 20-minute mark, Strawberry fired in our equaliser to get us rolling. From there, we never looked back, with Strawberry grabbing a second before Dylan Reid and Harlee Lock both found the net to give us a comfortable 4-1 lead going into the break.

The second half was pure dominance. We piled on the pressure and added another five goals, with Dylan Reid and Strawberry both in unstoppable form, finishing the afternoon with a massive four goals apiece! An own goal rounded off our tally, while Ynysybwl managed to grab a late consolation goal.

A fantastic, emphatic way to bounce back and secure all three points in style!
