It's nice to be back! STRONG in 30 has restarted! Loads of familiar faces but also new ladies!

Wednesday class is full. If you cannot come please cancel on the system. If you want to come but class is full, feel free to join the waiting list. Typically we have people rescheduling classes and the place becomes available.

Very grateful to have great women coming to the class, making it fun and relaxed!

Want to feel fuller for longer? Start with protein + fibre. 👇

High-protein and high-fibre meals can be really helpful when you’re trying to lose weight — not because they’re magic, but because they can help keep you fuller for longer.

And when you’re less hungry, it’s a LOT easier to avoid the constant “just one little snack…” situation 😂 and stick to your calorie deficit.

This overnight Greek yoghurt bowl is a perfect example:

🫐 Berries — lots of fibre for relatively few calories
🌱 Chia seeds — tiny but absolutely packed with fibre
🥣 Greek yoghurt — a great source of protein
💪 Protein powder — extra protein and a little sweetness, too

And if you’re strength training, getting enough protein is especially important to support muscle growth and maintenance.

🫐 Overnight Greek Yoghurt with Chia & Berries

Makes 3 portions

You’ll need:

- Greek yoghurt — I used low-fat
- 3 flat tbsp chia seeds
- Vanilla protein powder, to taste
- Berries of your choice
- A splash of milk
- Dark chocolate, for a final sprinkle 🍫

Method:
Mix the Greek yoghurt, chia seeds, protein powder and a splash of milk. Stir well, then add your berries.

Pop it in the fridge overnight (or for a few hours) and finish with a little grated dark chocolate before serving.

Simple. Filling. High in protein and fibre. And actually tastes like a treat. 😋

Save this for your next breakfast or snack idea!

And remember: protein + fibre can make a calorie deficit easier to stick to — but the deficit is still what drives weight loss.

Which one are you?

I am leaning towards No Social Life.

You are my social life!

I finished my first marathon in just over 5 hours.

The same marathon when the 2h mark was broken by Sebastian Sewe!

Even though this was slower than what I was aiming for (much slower), I still achieved 6 months of training, when having a full time job and two kids.

Just turning up for the race was the least of a challenge.

So hats off for all the mums who run and accomplish great stuff when they also give so much to everyone else.

Last year, around this time I knew I got a space in London Marathon.
I started researching the training plans and I found the Coopah plan.

It started so mild I thought it's not real. 5-6k here and there for a few weeks.

This is not how it finished.

For the last two months , you run 20-30km long runs on weekends (or whatever long run day you do) plus loads of 8-15ks during the week in between.

It's really not that easy.

For me running a marathon itself was less of an achievement than actually persevering with the training (my work also peaked at the same time, so it was really a time management challenge).

Who has a space in London next year? Are you starting some training now or in January?

I started using Runna for my training plan for upcoming half marathon in the autumn.
Would like to run it closer to 2h.

So today was the first interval session.
Only 2 intervals, but 1km each at quite a fast pace for me (close to best 5k pace).

I am curious, what training plan apps do you use and why?

Ok, I am not sad at all!

Are you?
