Now officially certified to instruct Boxercise!
As a kid I did boxing for a short while at Warley boxing club in Birmingham. I really enjoyed it, so decided to refresh my knowledge and technique by doing the instructor course.
Now I will be offering boxing training in my PT and group sessions. It's a great way to stay fit , whilst having tons of fun!!!
Expect some ass kicking routines and some deadly combinations to keep you on your toes.

One thing i have realised is Dancing is like a workout you don't even know you are doing!

10 years ago i started dancing salsa in my home town Birmingham. Since then I have spent probably thousands of hours of my social life on the dance floor! Hours go past of dancing, laughing and lots of fun. You don't realise how much of workout it actually is because it's so much fun!

Here are some benefits of dancing:

- Improved my fitness; agility, balance and cardio.
- Burnt hundreds of thousands of calories.
- Improved my social life.
- Learnt a new dance style
- Made lots of friends from all over the world.
- Kept me off the lazy sofa.
- Learnt more about the Latin culture.
- Been to Cuba the home of original salsa.
Oh yeah and according to studies and research the motor skills that you develop and strengthen during partner dancing routines builds neutrons in the brain that help prevent alzheimer's disease! It's true... Look it up!
All those benefits from a bit of fun! Not bad eh?

Just made dinner out of some odd bits in the kitchen!
I made a spicy tomato puree mixing with onions and fried garlic and a wee bit of chilli. Then cooked French green lentils in a saucepan until soft. While lentils are cooking I put a sliced sweet potato in the over with oil and seasoning over it.
Once lentils boiled and soaked up the water I added the spicy tomato puree and mixed together in pan for a further 5 mins so flavours combine.
Then served on to a plate, add sliced sweet potato on top. For the garnish, Chop some coriander (or cilantro for you American folk) and sprinkle over the top. Give it a taste!

I sprained my ankle at a party in January (dancing too hard!!!!) since then I have been rehabilitating the ankle through static and dynamic stability exercises.
These exercises help to strengthen all the stability muscles around then the ankle which allow you to walk, run and jump. I'm using the Bosu ball as this mimics uneven surfaces.

It's not the amount you lift, its all about how you lift the amount!
Sometimes its good to drop the weight and focus on the technique. After all technique is everything in weight training.

Its been a while since I've done Power cleans! I remember this was a compound exercise that I used to do thousands of times as part of my sprinting training back in the dayz :)
