Want some Friday night signing news?
OK then - here it is!

Introducing LIAM KELLY, who has joined us from EoS Premier side Haddington Athletic.

A busy central attacking midfielder, Kelty lad Liam has previously been on the books of Hearts, Kelty Hearts, Hutchison Vale and Hillfield Swifts.

Liam said " I am delighted to sign for Jeanfield, and am looking forward to meeting up with all the lads for pre-season.
I have worked under Jason previously and loved the way his teams play football, so it was a no-brainer to come here when the chance arose. We had success before, including winning the East of Scotland Cup, and I hope to have a lot more success with him at Jeanfield"

Jasons' thoughts - "I know Liam and the quality he can bring to the team, we wanted him here - a very good technical player who is comfortable with the ball. He has been at Haddington with a coach who I know well, and I am looking forward to working with him again."

SIGNING NEWS

Today's bulletin from the Managers' Desk features the first new signing for the forthcoming season.

A big Jeanfield welcome to CAMMY MUIRHEAD, who has joined the club after the expiry of his contract at Glenrothes FC.

As well as the Glens , Dunfermline-based striker Cammy has seen service at Cowdenbeath, Tranent, Civil Service Strollers and Crossgates Primrose.

Speaking to us upon signing , Cammy said

" I am very excited to get started at Jeanfield. The set-up at the club is great , and the management team have a lot of ambition which is something I've been looking for. I'll be looking to contribute as much as I possibly can to what will hopefully be a successful season ahead."

Manager Jason adds

"We are delighted to have Cammy on board. We have really good quality at the top end of the pitch , Cammy will add a different dimension to our attack and I am looking forward to working with him."

Work is ongoing to secure further reinforcements - watch this space.

From the Managers' Desk -
the first in what will be a series of updates from Jason as the new season approaches.

This evening , we are delighted to confirm that, having committed to a new contract, our Team Captain , Aaron Whitehead , will be granted a Testimonial during this coming season.

He has been a great servant to the Club over a number of years and deserves this accolade.

I asked Aaron to outline his Swifts career - and it goes back even further than some would beleive.

He recalls signing in 2008 - as a fresh faced 17 year old, who couldn't go to the pub post-match, then leaving for a spell in 2015. Back he came, from Elgin City , in 2018 so by my reckoning this is a 9th consecutive season and around 14 years altogether.

Over the years , he has played with many top quality Swifts players - name-checking Chris McLeish, Ross Gunnion ( as a player and manager), Gavin Anderson, Stevie McManus , Robbie Holden, Tony Holt, Stevie McAllister , Mark Mitchell and John Anderson amongst countless others.

Manager Jason says:

"Aaron has been an outstanding servant to the Club, and is a natural leader and wants success for the Swifts. All his qualities and attributes are everything you want from a Captain. I am looking forward to building a good relationship with him and to bringing success to the club"

Aaron responded:

" I am delighted to have signed for Jeanfield for another year, and to lead the team as Captain once again. I am looking forward to working closely with Jason to hopefully bring the success that this team deserves.

Jason has come in and it's clear to see the style of football he wants us to play . His energy and hunger to succeed is fantastic to see. I have no doubt that , along with Scotty and Doddsy, he will bring a fresh drive and determination to succeed. Having spoken to a number of the players , there is a real sense of excitement about the new season. This is a Club that deserves success and I am determined to help deliver that. With the players, management and committee that we have in place, I am confident that we can achieve something special together."
