I wasted years showing up to the gym 3-4x a week, ticking off a few machines and then hitting the stairmaster to get as sweaty as I could
Thinking I was going to end up like all the girls I saw online
But it turns out completing your workout doesnât mean youâre going to see progress
And equally, feeling destroyed after a session doesnât mean you did a good job either!
I was training with 0 intention, 0 Idea what progressive overload was?!
Just hoping that the sheer presence of weights would mean Iâd develop the body I wanted
What I actually needed was:
a well-programmed plan
less cardio
to learn how to utilise progressive overload
reps in reserve
