Weโ€™re looking for extra hands to join the WAX Crew across three upcoming event days:

๐Ÿ„ Surf & Turf: Engine Room
๐Ÿ“… 12 September
โฐ Volunteer time: TBC

๐Ÿ”ฅ WAX Burner Obstacle Course Race
๐Ÿ“… 26 & 27 September
โฐ Volunteer time: TBC

Whether you can help with one, two or all three days, weโ€™d love to have you involved! It can be things such as marshalling, registration or just generally lending a hand where needed.

Every volunteer will get:
๐Ÿ” Free food and drink while youโ€™re with us
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ A meal at WAX Watergate
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ A free ticket to a future WAX event

And if you can help with more than one:
๐Ÿ‘• Help at 2 of the 3 event days and youโ€™ll get a WAX T-shirt
๐Ÿงฅ Help at all 3 and youโ€™ll get a WAX hoodie

The days are shorter than some of our previous events too, so you wonโ€™t be signing yourself up for an all-day slog.

Newquayโ€™s coastal fitness race returns on Saturday 12 September.

This is your challenge:

๐ŸŒŠ 400m open-water sea swim

๐Ÿƒ 4km road run through Newquay

๐Ÿ”ฅ Finish with either a 500m Ski Erg or 600m row

Then give everything you have left in a final sprint to the finish line at the Killacourt.

This is our apprentice James...

Some of you may know him as the Newquay AFC photographer, or he may have taken an awesome photo of you at one of our events

A few weeks ago, he came into the office to tell us heโ€™d booked a holiday. Turns out it wasnโ€™t exactly a relaxing one...

James is currently taking on the Tour du Mont Blanc. He flew from Bristol to Geneva before making his way to Les Houches in France, where he started the hike with two friends. The route is roughly 170km, with around 10,000m of elevation gain, taking him through three different countries: France, Italy and Switzerland

James said one of the coolest parts is crossing multiple international borders on foot, hiking from France into Italy and then into Switzerland, rather than travelling between them by car or plane. He and his mates are doing it over 9-10 days, camping along the way and carrying all their own gear

โ€œItโ€™s been pretty tough but the scenery has been class and itโ€™s been a really good experience so far.โ€

Some holiday that. Enjoy the rest of your trip James, and weโ€™ll see you soon. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅพโ›ฐ๏ธ
