With Charlie now being called up to represent his country at the Worlds biggest team event there is no doubt we are watching a living legend and our clubs most successful ever rider!

2026 Riders Championship : Saturday September 12th ,7pm. Owlerton Stadium, Sheffield.

The Riders Championship is back at its traditional home Sheffield for the first time since 2019!
The last time the Bears were represented at the Owlerton Stadium Erik Riss won the Championship title in 2019 following on from Paul Bentley in 1994!

We are gathering interest to run either a coach or a minibus to support Charles Wright.

Pricing currently ranges from £20- £25 depending on vehicle and numbers.

Departs Billingham Forum 3:30pm

Picks up at Bluebell Acklam approx 3:45pm

We aim to be at Owlerton Stadium for 6pm.

Let’s see if we can replicate the immense support we took to Workington last season for the Pairs !

Charles is undoubtedly one of the top riders in the league and very capable of winning the title he won in 2023.
But the favourite will be Josh Pickering the 2024 Champion who is currently top of the averages and will be racing on a track he rides regularly!
To visit Sheffield for the first time in 6 years!

What a night of racing! All five of our Bears put on an absolute masterclass at the British Final yesterday, doing the club, the fans, and the entire town proud. Every single one of them left it all on the track.

​A massive congratulations to our very own Charles Wright on a phenomenal 2nd-place finish! Snagging that silver medal and securing the wildcard spot for next year's Grand Prix is a huge achievement, and nobody deserves it more.
​
Bring on the rest of the season—if yesterday showed us anything, it's that the Bears are force to be reckoned with! 🐻🏁💥
