Back to school for most but the season is just around the corner with the whites first game of the season. ⚽️

The girls played in the a tournament up the A19 to Wingate.
I think we normally produce a much higher level of football, given that we managed another semi final. We fell short to a good FC Hartlepool u12’s side, who we will again meet in the league shortly.
A big thanks to Nancy from our blues who helped us out today to give us 9 players.

An award for the keeper of the day was chosen by Reffs and official out of all the keepers in all age ranges this was presented to Mila by Jenny Blench (Sunderland’s keeper). 🧤

The girls travelled to Sunderland today for a tournament. Winning all the group games without conceding a goal and looked to be in great form.
We managed to keep that up for the semi to win 2-0.
Onto the final with no subs and the bare 9 playing a year up. Unfortunately I felt we let the energy slip and we fell short to lose the final 2-0.
A massive thanks to Poppy Grace and Lucie for helping us out to give us the numbers to play today they have been a pleasure.
The reff who took every game our age chose Emily G as player of the tournament so again to stand out playing at the level and age group is fantastic.
Gutted we didn’t lift the trophy but we go again. 👏

Today alongside Ruby’s lovely parents Sarah, Mark and family friends some of The Whites girls and parents walked from Redcar beach to Saltburn and back. Approximately a 15k walk with a pint stop at Tomahawk.
Altogether we will have raised over £1000 which has been donated to The Teenage Cancer Trust. Although nothing will take the pain away for Sarah, Mark and Olly the walk has been done to honour Ruby and the strength and bravely she showed 🧡

We are looking to add to our side for the upcoming season. Next years year6 training will be on Mondays.
We will be playing 9v9 a year up in the u12’s Red division.

As some people may know, Ruby Wilson sadly passed away on 18th May aged 16 years old after a courageous battle with cancer 💔. Ruby was an aspiring footballer and played for Kader FC. Ruby was a relation to one of wonderful families at the Whites Carl, Lucy, Lyla and Heidi 🤍.
With the family’s permission and in honour of Ruby our girls and parents will be walking from Redcar to Saltburn and back (approximately 13km) to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust on Saturday 1st August 🫶🏼
