Victoria is a former GB Cyclist, and a current GB Bobsleigh & Under Amour Athlete. Overcoming adversity & defying the odds are at the heart of her sporting journey. Victoria’s cycling career began in 2009 when she was a successful applicant of UK Sports Talent ID Programme, Girls 4 Gold. By 2010 she was competing and achieving medals for Great Britain on the National, European and World stage. Her
progression rapidly continued as she entered the senior ranks, and at just 19 years of age, she won a medal at the World Championships; the first of a haul of World Cup medals that came the following season. However, In January 2016, just 6 months before the Rio Olympics, she suffered a life threatening accident. Breaking her neck back and pelvis she was left just 2mm from being paralysed. After a lumbar & pelvis fusion, and 5 weeks laid flat in a hospital bed, she had to relearn to walk again and rebuild herself. 18 months later the road to recovery finally began as she spent 10 months at the British Olympic Associations Rehab Unit. At the start of 2018 she successfully joined back with the GB Cycling Team, and made her return to World Cup & World Championships by 2019. Unfortunately Tokyo 2020 was too close, so in November 2019 she switched over to the ice joining the GB Bobsleigh team. 5 years to the day of the accident she then made the start-line for her first Bobsleigh World Cup. Returning from a horrific injury, and representing GB in 2 different sports, she is nothing short of relentless in the pursuit of her goals. She hopes to continue to inspire with her journey of resilience and dedication. Follow her journey
