As a personal trainer I'm asked a lot of questions.
I enjoy answering them, but I also enjoy questioning why the question has been asked, if that makes sense. Frequently asked questions are asked either because they've not been answered concisely enough in the past, because they're inherently confusing or just because people don't listen.
'How many calories do I need to lose weight?' falls under all three. The answer is always tailored to the individual asking the question and CAN NEVER be answered with a one size fits all approach as it has been many times before.
To help you out, I've created a graphic that absolutely anyone can use. It's a rough calculation, but an evidence based one and one that will help you to get started.
