In club news there were some excellent performances at the Scottish Rowing Championships. Medals were:
W Nov 2x Lilias and Lucy. (2nd) . Sophie and Evie also made the final in a hotly contested even with 4 heats.
W Mas 4x. Winning by 0.4secs Clare, Karen, Sam (Lakeland), Eva (Loch Lomond)
W Mas 2x (2nd) Karen and Clare
O Mas 1x Martin
O Mas 2x Martin and Pete
O Mas 4x Martin, Pete, Ivar, Jim (Notts),
O Mas 8 Martin, Pete, Ivar, Doug, Pete T, Allan, Chris (Clydesdale), Billy (Stirling), cox Catie (Clydesdale).
In other races, special mention to Doug and Pete who had to stop in their pairs race due to a stray boat in their lane. Gentleman they are they didn't accept the rerow as they didn't think it was fair.
Other excellent highlights were the club fielding both an open and womens novice 8s. No results yet but an improvement on Spring. Peadar had his first singles race at the park in J15 1x. Harry and Blair had a good race in the O Nov 2x i what became difficult crosswind conditions on the Sunday.
