Final day of masters training camp. Some flat water and a squad of happy scullers to finish.

Camp day 3 our luck has run out! Water too rough! Instead we practiced lifting the boat and getting in and out yersel.

Sculling camp day 2. The sun was oot! The water even went flat for a bit. Tonight we practiced maintaining pressure on front of spoon and how to get your kit off 😂.

Great first night for the CSRC masters sculling camp! Challenging conditions but 16 singles went out, stayed dry and had a great time!

CSRC were at Henley Masters Regatta this weekend. Well two of us! Allan made it through to the final of the O Masters F 1x where he was narrowly beaten. The competition was fierce but not as fierce as the 36 degree heat! This is the semi final. Sadly i was out in the quarters, lots to work on for me for next year.

Satellite delay on the reporting. Well done to the small team of ladies braving the weather at Talkin Tarn last weekend. Winning in the Ladies Masters Quad with Eva from Loch Lomond and Celia from Lakeland. Eva also added the Masters single title. 👍

CSRC (me n Keithy) were at the British Masters at Nottingham this weekend. The usual surfing conditions. Bronze for me in the WD 1x. The support crew was gold standard. ❤️

In club news there were some excellent performances at the Scottish Rowing Championships. Medals were:
W Nov 2x Lilias and Lucy. (2nd) . Sophie and Evie also made the final in a hotly contested even with 4 heats.
W Mas 4x. Winning by 0.4secs Clare, Karen, Sam (Lakeland), Eva (Loch Lomond)
W Mas 2x (2nd) Karen and Clare
O Mas 1x Martin
O Mas 2x Martin and Pete
O Mas 4x Martin, Pete, Ivar, Jim (Notts),
O Mas 8 Martin, Pete, Ivar, Doug, Pete T, Allan, Chris (Clydesdale), Billy (Stirling), cox Catie (Clydesdale).
In other races, special mention to Doug and Pete who had to stop in their pairs race due to a stray boat in their lane. Gentleman they are they didn't accept the rerow as they didn't think it was fair.
Other excellent highlights were the club fielding both an open and womens novice 8s. No results yet but an improvement on Spring. Peadar had his first singles race at the park in J15 1x. Harry and Blair had a good race in the O Nov 2x i what became difficult crosswind conditions on the Sunday.
